Same here… I am also waiting for a 13PM 1TB Silver but nothing shows up…
The one that I preordered was scratched on the glass back and I returned it immediately.

Sierra Blue, Gold, Graphite 13PM 1TB were all available multiple times this week.

One store had the Silver 13PM in 512GB yesterday so I hope the 1TB will follow soon.
Yep. I’ve seen a few 512 Silvers and one or two 256 Silvers. Other than that I only ever see Graphite and SB. SB definitely being abundant. Silver seems extremely scarce and I’m hoping something changes in the next day or two.

I kept trying local stores last night and didn’t have any luck with any Pro models. I checked this morning before the store opened and found almost every one! Finally able to replace my original 13 Pro that was scratched with a new one.

So what would be the downside of just ordering one and paying outright at the carrier? I see AT&T has dates that’s in a couple days for the pro models.

After non stop checking, lol, I have one secured for pick up tomorrow!

congrats!

after you placed the order online for Apple Store pick-up, how long did it take for the "order ready for pick-up" email arrive?

I"m kind of in the same boat... about an hour ago(3:00AM, Thursday, 10/7), I placed an order. The only store that had the exact Pro Max that I wanted was 5 hours away, which was fine by me. I selected a pick-up window at noon on Friday. I sure hope that they don't send me an email saying "ooops, we made a mistake, we actually didn't have any Pro Max in stock...." :(

Thanks!

Some Pro and Pro Maxes showing up in the DC area. Sierra Blue.

around 3:00AM, Apple's website was showing Pro Max 128gb gold and Pro 256gb graphite available at the Carnegie Library location in DC. I ended up finding the 128gb graphite that I wanted somewhere else. Someone must not be sleeping because after I placed my order, those two phones at Carnegie Library were gone. :)

I went another direction and found a blue PM in Charlotte, NC. I have a 4-hour connection at Charlotte airport next week... so I figured that if they had the one I wanted there, I could use the 4-hour layover more productively.(get an Uber and have him/her take me to the Apple Store and bring me back to CLT airport to catch my flight?) :)

I ordered my Sierra Blue one the day of the end of the media embargo. I ordered a case and the phone. The case arrived last week.

The phone is still "in processing". Scheduled for an October 21st ship date (as of now). That color either must be really popular or they didn't make as many as some of the other colors perhaps. I'm patient though. My 12 Mini still works fine and am content to continue using it until my 13 arrives.

I feel like an impatient idiot right now... it's 4AM and I'm still up... placed an order for 13 Pro Max for pick-up at the Apple Store 5 hours away from me... (picking up tomorrow at noon) No... I'm not an idiot... I'm just crazy... :( <sigh>

My cat is also awake and giving me a very judgmental stare, almost like he's trying to say "you're driving 5 hours to pick up a ONE THOUSAN DOLLAR phone!!!??? and yet you're too cheap to buy me that nice cat tree for $50?"

Cats are always too judgemental. ;)

I admire your perseverance to go out and drive the 5 hours to the Apple Store for your phone. I am not *quite* that far away from my nearest store (a good 2-3 hours though), but I just rather not make a special trip just for it. As nice as the phone is.

I am lucky in that I do like my 12 Mini mostly. I just wanted more battery life and some of those pro features (like the telephoto). Which I miss when I went with the 12 Mini from last year.

Regardless, good luck and and safe travels to you! And tell that cat to mind it's own business. ;)

well... it's either a 5-hour drive tomorrow.... or a 31-day wait.(my original order for the Pro Max was showing November 8) I don't think I can stand coming here every single day for 31 days.... unless my math is off, if I spend 10 minutes each day on this forum, that's 300 minutes in a month... which is also 5 hours. :)

My *only* iPhone right now is my old spare iPhone SE(2016).... traded/sold my other phones ahead of the iPhone 13 release... except I hesitated and didn't get my order in

When it's ready for pick up, you will get an e-mail stating so. See screenshot

Once you placed an order, that stock gets updated to 1 less on their inventory so they will not sell your device to someone else.

congrats!

The email with store pick up instructions came pretty quickly. Maybe 10 minutes or so.

ATL area has exactly 1 Pro and 1 PM available this morning, both 1TB and sierra blue.

Usually it's within an hour but also depends on when it was ordered. I placed an order at 8:30 pm when it showed. I didn't get the e-mail till right at 10 am when the store opened.

I ordered at around 3:00AM, so I guess it took longer.... but the ready for pick-up email finally arrived at 8:10AM.

I'm still debating whether or not it's too crazy to drive 340 miles tomorrow just to get a phone.... or perhaps I'll just wait for them to ship it to me... on or after November 8. :)

Is that 7 hour drive the closest apple store there is in your area?

Thanks!

Drive and get it over with. In less than 1 day you’ll have your phone and done with it.

I'm wondering where these random Apple Stores are getting 1 or 2 of these Pro and Pro Max phones. Did someone cancel their pick-up order? They won't put returned(but sealed) iPhone boxes back into inventory, right?(which makes me nervous because I saw someone on YouTube opening and sealing the box back perfectly using a heat gun, due to Apple switching to no plastic wrap)

It's likely someone cancelled the order because they likely found something else. Since it wasn't picked up by customer, Apple can put this back in stock availability for pick up. Now picking up a new device and returning it back unopened is different as they will mark it as "Open" on their system. I once returned an unopened 12 Pro at the Apple store and when I saw them process it, they had to process it as opened item instead of closed.

That’s correct. Once it leaves the store and returns if its open or not, they process it as “used”.
