It does'nt matter what phone Sprint gets, their customer service is still the worst ever! placed an order, accidentally ordered the 4 and not the 4s (due ti only the 4 being listed at the time of order, online) and now I cant even get a rep on the line to make the change or atleast cancel the existing order. "wait time is 11min" my butt... been on hold for 26min already... this is sad. 4yrs later and they still have not learned... kick it in gear Sprint, you're rolling with the big boys now.:rolleyes:
 
Anyone have any idea how I could get the phone shipped to my address here in New York and not my primary account holders in California? I don't want to change any addresses on the primary account. I can't have the phone picked up in store because theres NO BUTTON to do so.

Also 1-800-APPLE isn't accepting ANY calls. And for some reason apple isn't letting me select a text messaging plan, only letting me keep my unlimited data plan. The screen to select a messaging plan simply doesn't show up.

If I try to preorder through ATT they let me select my messaging plan, but I still can't change the shipping address.

Any ideas?! :confused:
 
Glad I didn't get up at 3am ET to order as it seems there were probs on Apple. Order complete at 5:07 am CT. To be delivered on 10/14 :cool:
 
People ordering through AT&T Premier, is the $30.00 data plan that shows the unlimited that most of us are grandfathered into? I don't want to hit accept if I am going to get screwed out of it.

Just got off the phone with AT&T and they confirmed that the unlimited is still there when you order on their web site and if you had been grandfathered in. The "new" compatible plan is unlimited.
 
What failed spectacularly last night as an account with a FAN discount with AT&T, was so easy just 4 hours later.

Lost some sleep for no good reason. :mad:
 
I am still not able to preorder through apple.com for an att.....this is pretty annoying as I am seeing so many people have been able to.


What gives??


Ive been tried from 12:01 am PST to about 2:30 am. Now i just woke up and tried again and its still not letting me....

I would just try to order from else where but i have a $200 apple gift card i need to use

Tough to say with no more info than you've provided in this and previous posts. Sounds like the system is hitting an issue with your new line setup that it doesn't know how to handle.

Best bet is either do what it says (visit an Apple Retail store) or call 1-800-MY-APPLE to talk to them for assistance.

I went to att's site and changed the info then made the applestore order. Then I just changed the info back on ATT. It wont hurt anything to have a different address in the account profile for a couple minutes. It doesnt even have to change the billing info--just the profile contact info
 
I'll tell you when you try to call the number a recording says that they are experiencing high call volumes so cannot take my call :(

If you are just starting new service, lets say, with AT&T you can not do it on line with Apple. You must go to the store. They need ID, etc for your credit check.

You're wrong. I did it on the AT&T website last night. And i'd imagine on a normal day, you would be able to start a new line of service with Apple since they give you the option when you're ordering.
 
Ordered from Apple.com AT&T Black 32gb and haven't received an e-mail yet. Damnit Apple! Where's my e-mail? :(

I did the same thing. I was ordering for myself, and another family member - and we live in different states. I ordered the first phone, then went on AT&T and changed the billing address. I waited 20 minutes, then ordered mine, and Apple.com pulled the new address.

Worse case scenario - Apple does a final scan before shipping, and changes the order to match the current AT&T billing address. But even so, that seems unlikely.

I think the crucial thing is ensuring your CREDIT CARD address matches the billing address you provide Apple.

Ah ok sweet. However this thought crossed my mind. I'm on my brother's plan. He ordered it and got a confirmation e-mail, would my phone be shipped with his phone since it's the same billing address? Or would they come in separate packages from Fed Ex?
 
Lol, it's not 2012 yet so don't start freaking out, I'm sure there is a logical explanation for all this xD
I wish i shared your optimism:roll eyes: While i agree there is certainly a logical explanation, i know theres a very minute chance that makes it an acceptable(to me at least) explanation.

I was getting that error early this morning too while I was trying to add a line.

I ended up starting a new account and will merge it with my family account once the phone comes in.
