Apple Store is down!

Finally :)

After trying for 2+ hours, i have one reserved @ apple.com around 5:00 am Eastern and purchased @ att.com around 5:05 am eastern. Now I'll cross my fingers that it actually gets here the 14th. :eek: Iphone 4S 64 GB White :D:D:D

That's with a FAN boys and girls.
 
What a hilarious thread. You'd think it's life or death, all over a flippin phone.

My wife decided she wanted one after dropping her iP4 & breaking it today. So I went online with AT&T and placed the pre-order. It was confirmed & now it's just a matter of waiting. Easy as can be.

But then again I've always had a good experience with AT&T online ordering.

I think shipping is better tho. When I had my iPhone 4 for pick up last year. I ended up waiting at the Apple Store for 6 hours with every other person that decided to preorder and have it picked up at the store. I went at 8AM thinking it'll be empty, but nope. It was super duper packed.

Not to mention my buddy got his iPhone 4 the day before its release when he had his shipped to him.
 
After all of the ordeal with ATT and with Apple (nearly two hours), I finally went back to bed.

Woke up, tried again, and finally was able to order two through apple.

I guess that is what I get for skipping the i4 and really needing a new phone.

Chrome is so far superior to Safari it's amazing. I use Chrome exclusively on all my computers. Even more exciting is my Nexus Prime will come with it.
 
finally got one ordered through apple (att's FAN site is still giving me errors)

kind of silly apple wouldn't allow me to change the shipping address? no one is home during the day.
 
Got up at 3am EST to try and waited around for half an hour before deciding to go back to bed. Had to get up now (6:15) for school, went right to Apple's site and got one without a problem. Checkout process was amazingly smooth. No confirmation email yet, but I'm optimistic...

Account info section of Apple.com seems to be down, but I guess we'll see.
 
Got 2 - ATT FAN Website

Ordered 2 from ATT web site. Was very fast, got confirm of order in seconds via email. I gave up at 4:30, took a nap and success at 5:45!!!

I never should set my alarm for 3:00am!

Just now completed mine on Apple web site!....Black 32g....AT&T site never gave me the option to order the 4S....Lost a lot of sleep tonight for nothing! :D
 
I keep getting this error:

Order Already Exists.

Please cancel the other order before proceeding further.

Does anybody know how to fix this? I've never even gotten near the checkout process, so there's no way that I've completed an order.
 
Got a "reservation" at the Apple store 90 minutes ago, still haven't received the second email which would allow me to complete the order.

Screw it...just ordered my phone at AT&T's website. Went through right away. No confirmation email or pending charges on my credit card yet, though. Going to stick around for a little while and hope I see one or the other.

Or...I could still get 90 minutes of sleep if I go back to bed now. Pssh.

Edit: Just saw the transaction come through to my CC. Calling it a night. Good luck all.
 
Interesting note since some people were asking this before pre-orders started, I was able to create a new line on an existing AT&T family plan through the Apple Store's website and have it delivered.

Most people said it wasn't possible and you'd have to go to an Apple Store to complete the order.

It said it's shipping to the billing address from AT&T though, so I'll have to edit the shipping information once Apple's account information site isn't bogged down.

Also, those that are waiting for their second reservation email...don't bother. I waited for thirty minutes and never got my second one. I then went and tried to order an iPhone again and it let me completely pre-order one.
 
People ordering through AT&T Premier, is the $30.00 data plan that shows the unlimited that most of us are grandfathered into? I don't want to hit accept if I am going to get screwed out of it.

YES figured it out!!! go to the status page and use ur reservation number to login, apple Id won't work, and then complete the order :)
 
did anyone get any sort of discount using FAN? when i called the rep earlier in the evening i was told the upgrade price is $199 for the 16GB
 
ordered from verizon at 3:05am EST. Had a 50$ discount on there too for some reason. Everything went better than expected.

Wasted an hour of sleep trying to order from At&t with a FAN. Said screw it and tried this morning at 5:43 am cst. Order flew right through. Confirmation email within a few seconds. Summary shows my $30 unlimited data plan. Hopefully all is fine. So glad I wasted an hour of sleep for Premier site maintenance :rolleyes:
 
Those of you who ended up being able to completely preorder, either through the app or online--how long did it take to get the confirmation email? I see that it went through on my CC, but the fatalist in me is still waiting for the other shoe to drop and for them to say, "Shucks, we messed up and now the white 64 GB is backordered until January."

About 10 minutes for the email after ordering online at apple.
