*enjoys yet another week of my laptop being on top and confirming my decision to buy after macworld*
There's so much evidence for new MBPs. They're due for a speed bump. There are rumors about new product numbers in the pipeline.
Maybe next week.
but see that brings back my same question what do you want? the macbook pro is already a very small and sleek looking machine, you cant reduce the size anymore without cutting out some features, which apple showed us with the air, its just not time for a mbp update, id much rather have them wait another 3-4 months and come out with a really snazzy one with a bunch of new features and a new slightly smaller case design using all of the latest chips there just isnt really anything else available right now

With no MBP today there must be more (greater) plans than a simple Penryn update for Apple to delay further. All the PeeCee majors are already out with Penryn models since a while now.

My name is Dustin. I've been a PC user for as long as there have been PCs. I've used all the versions on Windows and, until recently, I didn't realize how wrong I've been. I admit, I used to bash you when I sold computers for that brief time in college...but hey, a guy needs to earn his beer money.
I admit I was wrong about all those things I said, but that doesn't mean that you have to torture me with delaying your release of the new MBP. Please, I really, really want to drop some serious coin on some Apple products but I can't justify doing it until you release the new MBP.
I need your help...and quickly. My Sony Vaio's fan sounds like a Chinook helicopter acting on orders by Dick Cheney and if my Windows XP freezes up one more time running Firefox, I might have to throw my laptop out the tiny window in the bathroom on the third floor of my office building.
So, I beg of you Apple, please...hurry. I'll never cheat on you. Just give me a chance to make this work.
