Were they selling the Series 2 watch this morning? I got to my store before 8 and was told they weren't selling the watch until 10. The only item(s) available before 10 were the new phones. I'm pretty pissed off about this. The person I spoke to at the store was adamant about only the iPhone 7 being available for sale at 8AM. So if someone bought one they wouldn't sell them any accessories too?

When I was asking about buying a watch at the store in altamonte springs they certainly seemed like they would be happy to sell me one if I wanted one of the very few they had. Unfortunately I didn't, so I left, but they didn't seem to suggest that I would have had to wait until 10.

I was running late, and got to my local Apple Store at 7am. They checked stock levels of the watch multiple times while I was in line, and there seemed to be a good chance that I would get one. When I finally got into the store, they were all gone... kinda sucks, but I should've woken up earlier.

So they were selling the watch at 8 AM?!?!?! That pisses me off even more. What store was that? I'm going to complain to Apple Corporate and directly to my store too.

Sherway Gardens, Toronto, Canada.

I agree, does suck that your store didn't start selling watches until 10am.

^Any idea if they were selling the Edition in store as well?

Strangely, I have an order for an Edition online, showing Oct 21 - Nov 4 for delivery. But my card was just charged the full amount this morning for it.

Preordered at 3:11, confirmation in-app said delivers today, but my conf. Email stated Sept 26-28th. So I thought I would try my luck at the store this morning. I was in line by 8:15, maybe 20people ahead of me (most for phones) and by the time I got into the store, they only had a series 2 black stainless 38mm left. By my estimate, stock must have been incredibly low, I don't think there were more than 8 people waiting for watches ahead of me :(

Hey, can you tell me which store this was? I'm trying to compile a list of stores selling the watch at 8 AM. It seems like my store (Grand Rapids, MI) dropped the ball and were turning people away / telling them they weren't selling the watch until 10 AM.

Showed up at my local Apple Store at 7:50 AM and was told by an Apple employee they couldn't sell the watches until 10 AM. If they are going to sell the phones they should sell the watches too. I'm not a happy camper.
Hmm that's strange. I was told by an Apple employee after they asked their "leader" that I shouldn't have to line up and I could walk right in at 8am when they open and purchase the Apple Watch. I even asked if 8am was ok because I knew it was like an early opening for the iPhone but she said at that point the store was open and it would be fine.

Which store was that?

Thanks! Hopefully they sell it to you before 10 AM.
If I get there at 8 and they tell me no after going and waiting somewhere and coming back you can bet I'm getting the watch before 10 lmao if I have to run in back, grab it, and bolt out of there :p

Literally no stock in store, 4th person in line, 1st for watch.

All they had was black sports 38 and 42. nothing else.

seriously, worst release day ever.

I waited outside only to have a sales rep tell me that the watches were already reserved online (even though I never saw an option to do so) and they didn't have any more available for customers... I don't know what is going on with Apple and this launch.

I just called my store in Madison and was told they aren't making people wait in line for the watch BUT they have zero stock on anything in 42mm. Apple really screwed this up.

I was the first in line at the Soho store in NYC. The employee let me see all available stock (which was very limited). No ceramic, Hermes, Link SS, etc.

I initially requested two Sport band SS 42MM and waited like 20 minutes for the stock ppl to bring it out. At the 20 min mark, the employee helping me went to the back of the store to see why it was taking so long. She came back after another 10 minutes and told me they couldn't find any SB SS models in the back. I ended up buying two SS milanese 42 and was comped a free sport band for the wait.

I showed up at 9am (10 am store opening) for the store in Chicago on Michigan Ave. They opened at 8 for the Iphone 7 people and said to come back at 10. Rather than do that, I basically started the line outside of the store and was the first one in. People started to line up behind me, and the staff did a decent, albeit last minute, job of getting a system so people put their name in in the order that they showed up. I was first in and they had a couple of series 2 watches in stock, mainly sports. I originally went for the 42 space black sport, but opted for the stainless instead. Lucky I was the first one in line showing up an hour before opening, and I'm sure there's not many left at this point.

I'm confused, so they did have stock? Just not what you wanted?

Best Buy delayed my 38 mm space gray so I stopped by the sagemore Apple store in Marlton New Jersey today and was able to pick one up with very little wait
