I know. Pretty close fitment to Zagg glass+. I can live with that.

Haven't seen this applied to a 7 Plus yet, but it's been on my 6 Plus since April. This protector works for me.

The machine allowed perfect alignment and it's still unworn and scratch free. But, I take care of my stuff as if I'd have to pay to replace it because, well, that's exactly what would happen.

The viewable screen area is completely covered side to side with no distortions unless you are at an extreme viewing angle. I had to look in from the sides at around a 45 degree angle to see what was being discussed. I've noted in previous threads that this fitment is case friendly. I have a wide variety of cases and a sleeve for going case free.

You can easily determine the border coverage of the viewable screen by sliding your thumbnail in from the side bezel to the screen.

I understand that the edges of the new protectors are not as harsh as mine, but the majority of my interaction with the screen is within the viewable area.

Just got the Belkin InvisiGlass screen protector installed on my new 7Plus at the Apple Store. I'm usually really careful with my devices and have never (touch wood!) shattered or chipped a screen, but I often get micro-scratches and marks on the screen that just end up annoying me over time.

As it stands, I'm not sure about this protector now I've had it added (at £25 no less!) - it litterally *just* covers the the touchable part of the screen (extending to just below [and not touching] the home button, and just above the ear-speaker).

So immediately this 'looks' a tiny bit odd (because there are 'ridges' around the front-face of the device now), but also because it sits right on the very edge of the screen, there is a slight bit of distortion and colouration right on the border of the screen. It also doesn't feel pleasant if you're swiping in and out from the left/right-most sides of the screen because you're running over the screen-protector 'bump'.

The other thing is, despite me asking if the protector is specifically for the iPhone 7Plus, it doesn't seem the dimensions are quite perfect because there's a 'cut-out' in the top edge of the protector that sits just above the earpiece, and it's not central - it's slightly off to the right. So it makes me think it was designed for the 6Plus...

So, other than my whinging, the clarity is good, it feels a LOT better than plastic/film equivalents and I feel like it will protect my screen ok, and if the protector gets scratched or beat up, I know it can easily be replaced. It also helps that I didn't have to faff about installing it and Apple are able to use their Belkin gizmo to put it on for me.
Any chance you could take a picture ot show me what you mean by the rainbows?

I am very tempted to get the Belkin applied at my Apple Store as i already have a couple of scratches on my screen just from putting it in my pocket a few times. I am annoyed at the lack of full coverage but I will probably end up getting used to it, but the screen distortion worries me.

Of course if I'm not perfectly happy I can just return it, right?

Hi Sheza - I don't think you could photograph it; I did a google image search and there are no pics I can find that accurately show you what it is - I think because it must be near impossible to capture as I would say it's a 'motion' effect. You may be able to see a video of it on youtube if you search.

The best explanation is that there is like a 0.2mm (tiny tiny width) 'rainbow' that kinda shimmers along the very edge of the protector as you change the angle of the screen when it's on, I guess as the light from the screen is dispersed/refracted.

All in all, it's not bothering me at all and I'd bet anyone would be hard-pressed to be bothered about it (hey, they must sell millions of these if they're actually installing them in the Apple store now?). I'm pretty sure you could get a refund if you were really unhappy with your purchase.

I've only had mine a day, but I'm already over it and the fact it's not edge-to-edge over the front. It feels nice under the fingertip; just as nice as the glass of the actual actual screen I'd say, and in fact perhaps even a little better (seems a little more oleophobic).

This is great to hear, thanks. I'm going to a store today so I might wander over and find myself getting it!

So do you still use the swipe-from-the-edge features? Is the glass '2.5D' as some makers advertise, meaning it doesn't feel super rough when moving from the phone glass to protector glass?

Using swipe-from-edge with no problems... there's a perceptible ridge, but it's quite smooth and you get used to it. The glass feels lovely - exactly the same 'smoothness' as the original screen to my finger-sense :)

Just in case you wanted an update, I went out and got one thanks to your recommendation and it's great! Glass is smooth, half the time you don't realise it's there, and no bubbles

I see the rainbows at the edge now - it's because the protector does not quite cover the display, likely because the glass screen curves just slightly before the visible display area finishes. It's a minor issue though, and I would rather have that than a peeling protector.

Ace! I'm quite happy, I feel like I can worry less about scratches and enjoy the phone more now! Enjoy :)
