Just slap a Polaris GPU and up the RAM in the 27" iMac and I'll be happy. Finally decided to buy my first desktop if Apple will supply one of decent value.

And now it's just a matter of time before Apple adds a "Creative Air" position. :D

I was at the opening of the regent store on sat, I think there was about 250 staff there, according to the rep what was serving me, with 41 mangers. You could not tell a difference between any of them, just casual polite staff wearing blue shirts. Good to know they have titles :)

"Creative Pro"?????
Is that what they call iPhone specialists?

What about actual professionals who know professional products?

Oh, that's right... Apple doesn't give a **** about them anymore.

They should be color-coded by rank. You know, like in Star Trek. This way, the employees can refer you to an employee with e.g. a red shirt if you require a "creative pro".

"Hi, we are the creative pros...." -Sponsored by Apple

I was a creative once; and I left that burning ship because Apple only used it to teach grandma's how to access files and their photos. Although this is not a true stat, it felt like 9 out of 10 people were just grandma's learning the Mac. Which probably helped them with their sells; but didn't seem like a sustainable job title. Then they phased out 1to1 about 2 years ago; but still kept the Creative position; to do what? So after reading this part in the article
"Retail employees holding this position are considered the most knowledgable about Apple products and services, providing customers with advice and expertise about products such as the iPhone."
They highlight the iPhone? Does not make any sense; they should be talking to people about Final Cut Pro, Motion, Logic Pro, iPad Pencil, FileMaker, Garageband, Swift, App-making and various other PRO things. Although not many people come in for this; I think people would if Apple pushed their whole PRO stuff to another level.

It would also be good if all these pros didn't answer calls with "what's going on man?" That's how I was addressed by one of apples highly trained customer support techs on the phone.

That's because they don't know, they're one of the last apple employees to find out about new products.

Very true. Before the Apple Watch was released, I called Apple and was asking questions out of excitement. Finally, after asking my Questions, the Apple employee said "Sir, you know way more than I do, they won't tell us anything until the product releases at the last Minute. " Of course my source was MacRumors.

I used to work at an Apple Store in college - the last two experiences I've had with Apple have been me telling the 'Genius' (or whatever the latest title is) what to do. I literally had to get on the phone once while my mother was in the store and walk the Genius through what he had to do to help my mom out since he insisted it couldn't be done. I wish I could have seen the look on his face but alas... I remember working with some really talented people when I started, they were all older though and were quickly phased out. Apple cares more about image than ability.

The thing I like about the Apple Genius program, is that if Einstein walked in, they wouldn't hire him.

Must be a "Pro" Thing.
