Thinner!!! when will it stop (in a good way)! Honestly how long before our ipads and iphones are simply laminated type sheets haha. 10-20 years?
No thinner please! Make it 5 times as thick and have a full month long battery life![]()

ipad desperately needs at least 2 GB of rom upgrade, anything else is just waste of money...
battery life on the iPad is good
God, no.
Thinner again. Before you know it we've got an iPad as thick as a piece of paper. Wish they would focus more on actual improvements, thinner isn't always better.
i also bought the apple bluetooth keyboard but that was annoying too going back and forth between tapping on the screen to navigate then going back to the keyboard to write.
It amazes me how you both missed the sarcastic smile!
For me, thinner is always an improvement, because as I keep pointing out, thinner translates with near-certainty into lighter. I don't care so much about how thick a device is, but weight is for me the key factor both for smartphones and for tablets. The first iPads were for me just at the border of what I can live with in terms of weight. The iPad Air is finally in the usable range. But every additional few grams that they can shave off the weight will be extremely useful. I carry my iPad around in the house. I have it in my backpack while travelling. Really, weight is an absolutely major issue - much much more important than battery life.Thinner again. Before you know it we've got an iPad as thick as a piece of paper. Alright then, I'll accept a heavier iPad for more battery life.So whoever feels that they'd accept a thicker iPad or iPhone to get more battery life should keep in mind that this is not about milimeters but about grams.
Thinner product means less volume and more profit. Simple mathematic.
Lol @ thinner.![]()
That's why they put it in that 1.5" thick box that contains mostly air?
The fact the new iPad will be sligthly faster, sligthly thinner and with a sligthly better camera is not a surprise. What IS a surprise is that Apple believes that's enough to make people update their iPads when we are already seeing sales dropping.
The "can't innovate my ass!" has become simply "can't innovate". Other than the most rabid fanboys, who would buy anything anyway, no one has significant incentives to update their iPads. As the tablet market becomes saturated, Apple's inability to really and significantly improve their products is shining.
