Nah, they make 'em out of recycled crushed beer cans, and they'll add spikes and football stickers to 'em.
I just don't understand why they cater so much to women and gays? Most of the people who actually buy electronics are men.

I highly doubt this. I've said multiple times to the point where I sound like a record player: the advantages of OLED do not outweigh the disadvantages. OLED's have a really short lifespan, and different colors die at different times. And, you can't even see it very well in the sun. I refuse to buy a device that uses OLED, even if it is a revolutionary one made by Apple.iPhone and iSlate 2011/2012 will probably use OLED
From what I've read, aren't OLEDs currently limited to about a 14,000 hour lifespan? I'd rather have regular LEDs and have it last for 60K+ hours.
I can only hope you're joking.
No I'm not joking. What's wrong with wanting a masculine looking laptop. Would you take something like this out in public?

And women and gay people can't like "masculine looking laptops?"
I never said that. It's an individual taste. I'm sure there are a few who like them. I'm just saying all of Apples products are geared in "Design" to women and gays. I mean really, they don't even offer a laptop in black anymore.
You don't think you are stereotyping both women and gays by suggesting that they all prefer a certain style of product (which apparently doesn't include black?) Somehow a gay man no longer likes black laptops, I guess?
Are you the same dude that said that the iPhone will fail because it lacked a physical keyboard?
Just because the screen is small doesn't mean the UI will be the same to that of the normal portables. Look at the iPhone for an example. There are hundreds of use cases in which it is faster to do things on the iPhone than on a normal portable. Flicking through a list is a simple example of an operation that is not only easier but is also more natural to do on a multitouch screen than on a normal computer.
I think I've made myself clear. Most women and most gays, NOT ALL would like more effeminate objects. Whether it be a laptop, a car, clothing, ect. It's like the fact that most guys like blue not pink. Right? All I'm saying there is no reason to make everything with such "ultra design" that you exclude the majority of the user market.
"Most" gays are just like "most" non-gays. Frankly, I find the fact that you don't even know you're stereotyping to be somewhat shocking.
Look dude. I know gay people from work, gym, where I live, and have two gay cousins, who I went to the gay parade with one year. So I know a bunch of gay people, and I have not problem with them. I even believe gays should marry if that's what they want. I don't think it's cool to stereotype someone just because they want a masculine looking laptop. I'm just saying.
I'm not stereotyping anyone. You said most gays don't like "masculine looking laptops." I'm sure those who have read your posts in this thread will take your "some of my best friends are gay" defense into appropriate account.

Look your mistake was throwing in Gay in there. Women and feminine looking you would of gotten away with just fine. Putting in the Gay part makes it say to steoro type and I noticed that more Gays break that stereo type than not.
Yes there seems to be a heck of a lot more gay men in fashion than straight men but still way to stero type. I have met some very masculine Gay men before.
as for design style I can agree with you than I am not a huge fan of apple design style. It is to curvy and smooth for my taste. I prefer much harder lines and edges or in your case "Manly lines"
Now I agree apple seems to have a more feminize approach to its designs. But calling it the way gays would like is wrong.

Will you let it go already, the dude said he didn't mean anything by it. That's the problem with you gays. If you weren't so damn in your face about your beleifs maybe more people would except you.
I think the issue here is people who believe in this equation, "gay+effeminate=wrong". Most of the gays I know are effeminate, and I find nothing wrong with that. Even the few masculine ones I know get effeminate at times. Who cares? I'm just saying that Apple caters to people who are or like effeminate things. Mostly women, and gays. There is nothing stereotypic or any prejudice in that statement. It's just the way it is.
Still a wrong sterotype and not correct. I know masculine gays and I know from very effeminate straight guys.
It's worth it. I'm currently writing this on a Sony XEL-1. Every time I go to Best Buy and look at the new huge $5000 1080p displays, I can't over how much better my little XEL-1 looks at home. OLED changes everything.
Disclaimer, I didn't actually spend $2,500 on my XEL-1, but a $2000 multitouch OLED tablet that would basically look like you took the top off an XEL-1, yeah I'd think about that, if I didn't already own the XEL-1 and I needed the mobility.
How's the XEL-1 outdoors in sunlight?
I find a lot of basic LCD struggle in direct sunlight. OLED may be worse in sunlight and backlight LCD but that is not saying much either. The back lighting on LCDs is not exactly very reflective so very little light is reflect back to be able to see the screen and the sunlight washes out back lighting that is provided.
Now things like the GBA or digital watches work great in sunlight because there is a mirror behind the panel so sunlight is reflected back out and not washed out.
