I'm actually shocked that a non-essential item can get adopted so fast, especially for a luxury item, as it can't replace a TV, laptop/desktop or a mobile phone.
Especially at a relatively high price point (379€ for the outgoing model) ... and most purchasers not opting for a contact-based reduction in up-front cost.
