Be careful, there are some on these boards who claim that anyone who says anything nice about Microsoft is a paid astroturfer.
Or more to the point everything nice about Microsoft and nothing nice about Apple.

Paranoia takes many forms - and we some most of them here....
TBH I still don't know what magical version of Windows 7 people were using. I tried it on one of the spares at work and I didn't get some huge epiphany.
I've been using 7 since the RC was released. I too have been epiphany-free. It's better than XP, sure (and I never used Vista), but I don't see what all the hype is about. Perhaps the Redmond RDF has no effect on me?
All this coming from the shameless shill, who's been pedaling the 90-day free Windows 7 trial for the past two months, via a direct link under his sig:
-only to remove it before posting this hypocritical dreck.
He must have hit his limit on for-click Microsoft Live points for October.
Watch for new link on Sunday...
AidenShaw said:I used the Beta, RC, and finally have the RTM of Windows 7. Absolutely no problems with anything, not even drivers with regards to the pre-RTM versions. The ONLY program that stopped working for me (well, partially) was the live streaming functionality of Camtasia Studio 5. I found a replacement and was good to go.
I dunno, it's [Windows7 is] just a good OS overall.

Priceless, simply priceless.
Just curious, which Mac do you own, or which Mac are you looking to purchase?

The public service announcement link disappeared at midnight Wednesday (UTC) - one week after the release.
Back to the ad hominem drivel....
The mini-tower.
Oh, so you're just going to continue to be a shill for MS? Gotcha.Just curious, if you don't like Apple, don't like OS X, what enjoyment to you derive in being here? Genuine question.
And I'm not questioning your knowledge or saying you're right or wrong based on your preferences (and thus is not ad hominem); I'm just questioning your point in being here. Feel free, it's a free country. I just wouldn't be hanging out on the Ford forums when I drive a VW and never intend on buying a Ford. Ya know? Unlike other people here, you obviously know what you're talking about.

Hahaha!
The gravy train has dried up. He's a free agent for the time being - that is, until MS launches their next PSA.
Perhaps he's motivated by the attention - a masochist, no doubt.

Perhaps. I just find it interesting, because generally people spend time at sites devoted to subjects/companies they like. For me that means Here for Apple, Ubuntu forums for Ubuntu Linux, occasionally Sharky forums for PC hardware, and some guitar manufacturer forums for their respective brands.
I wouldn't personally find it enjoyable to hang out at the Fender forums and constantly criticize the brand. That's not to say a brand is infallible and shouldn't be criticized when applicable, but if that's 95% of your posts, isn't it time to find something more rewarding to do?
I'm pretty sure if I hung out at ubuntuforums.com and championed the benefits of Windows and/or OS X constantly, followed with continually bagging on Ubuntu and the failures of open source, it would certainly raise eyebrows. Since AidenShaw doesn't like Linux either, perhaps he should sign up there too, and let those folks know how far off the path they are
I make a bit more than $13K/month - and I can't afford Apple stuff...
Or, more to the point - "won't afford". Apple has nothing interesting in any price band.
One of my pieces of art jumped $12K in value in one day.
The artist announced that she was not longer going to produce any pieces in that style. That meant that the supply side of supply/demand dropped to zero.
The manager of a gallery that I patronize called me that afternoon, wondering if I would want to sell any of the items that I had....
Then it's a good thing that I pay to read MacRumours - so that my flash blocker doesn't put them out of business.
It would surprise me.
I'd expect to see Jonathan Ive and Jeff Han featured under "innovation", and Steve Jobs under "egomaniacal bastards".
Peculiar, isnt it? One might surmise, by his pathetic attempts to quantify his self-worth, that he is sufficiently insecure. What would you make of a person, who, in a public forum,
within the span of the past four months, finds the need to post his monthly income:
Or to disclose that he owns art, and patronizes a gallery:
And finds it necessary to remind everyone that he monetarily subscribes to this forum:
On top of all of this, while maintaining his vast fount and reservoir of double standards, has the sheer and petty insolence to say:
Irony - redefined.
Doood, you should be a Psyc Professor.
I'd be more interested in finding peoples flaws in logic but I don't really care unless its directed at me...
Same here, as his flaws in logic are pervasive - he tends to shoot himself in the foot more often than not.
We have an SQL client called Pervasive, it shoots its self and dies a lot! The RedHat guy is porting it to Postgere for the new Linux server. (MySQL sucks loads)

Of course, despite his vast dossier of anti-Apple info ever at the ready and full-time residence on an Apple users forum, accusations of astroturfing are smugly dismissed as mere "paranoia." After all, Microsoft has never been known to deploy its army of drones to sew the seeds of FUD, right? Right? Errr....

In that order, or reverse order - all the same.Astroturfer or epic case of the Green Monster, either way it's both annoying and pathetic.

Do you mean PostgreSQL? And yes, MySQL does suck loads.
Microsoft needs to take off the kid gloves and punch back at what you REALLY pay for when you buy a Mac:

It's all about elitism. You PAY for the Apple brand name, like you do for a Sony product like a TV. Call it what it is-- the Apple Tax.
