M5 Pro Max? What is that? 🤣
And what do you have against OLED displays? Genuinely curious there. Are burn-in and/or longevity issues still a thing with OLED? I'm sure some will accept it as a cost of having a better quality display. The display is already good enough for me, and I use it with a bigger monitor most of the time anyway.

You get those yummy speakers and MiniLED-display, though. As well as access to custom colorspaces and HDR while in reference mode on Sidecar (yes this is locked behind only the "Pro" Macs for some reason!)
People still complain about this? It’s irrelevant.
Apple extended the screen at the top so the menu/status icons/notch are in the extended portion and the screen below is the same size as previous MacBooks. So you actually gain a small amount of screen real estate.
That's why this one needs to be so powerful.
Takes lots of raw horsepower to cut through all the Liquid Glass!
There are also no speaker grill holes, so it may be a new MacBook M5 model as opposed to the rumored MacBook Pro 14"
The screen is a major upgrade for anyone doing photo/video. Speakers are nice. The other upgrades are active cooling for better extended performance and more ports.
This is 100% on the mark. I used to use an iPad Air to watch YouTube videos but ended up buying an M2 Air to replace it. I didn't realize how bad iOS / iPad OS had become. So many stupid bugs.
Really want to upgrade, but I feel like next year will be the year to upgrade with possibly a new design and OLED
But it does have a better display and more ports.
Think within the next 24 hours, the new M5 chip and MacBook Pro and iPad Pro will be announced. Looking forward to seeing the new Apple devices. Hopefully there will be some new colors for the Pro devices.
I believe there are speaker holes. You can see them glimmer (harder to see in my first photo from the other post).
