I've done absolutely everything, restored as new phone, replaced the phone, changed settings. everything. Still can't get more than 5-6 hours of usage and like 10-12 hours of standby.

On my 4S I tried the following a bit of advice on MacTalk I think it was...

Drain the battery so it is off and won't turn on (just before it dies "reset all settings") then charge it back up.

Its put a new lease of life into it.

Its good to see that 6.0.1 is coming soon. Cause as much as I love my iPhone 5 and iOS 6. I really hope that 6.0.1 will fix alot of glitches 6.0 brought.

Define "usage". If you are really "using" it for 5-6 hrs as in lots of web surfing, playing music, streaming, texting, calling, etc. such that the phone is nearly constantly doing something then that is as good as it is going to get and is likely not significantly better on any other phone. That is the problem with people reporting battery life as either good or bad. Without some knowledge of how the phone is being used, there is no way to compare to others. I normally get 2 days between charges. I get, read, respond to and compose several emails a day, send and receive several texts, make a few calls, surf some, check facebook, etc. If I use Pandora or have a day with an unusual amount of surfing, I may need to charge before the end of the second day. But that is me. No way to compare to anyone else. Only standardized tests have any real meaning unfortunately.

seems like i am one of the few not facing any problems. phone works well and is having no issues with the battery or scratches.

everything is fine with me, except the app store design which i dont like.

Bring back google maps.
Remove the tacky colour changing status bars.
Fix or bring back the old app store.
Bring back the cloud icons and ability to delete individual songs in itunes match.
Remove the facebook & twitter icons from the share sheets. I'm not signed into either service in settings so I don't want to see the facebook & twitter breadcrums scattered around ios.

Imo iOS 6 is a weak update. Made a few things worse and unnecessary additions but with a handful of new decent features.

And give this guy an enema so he's not so freaking crabby...:D

iOS6 shouldn't be bothered with scratches. I can report no new scratches on my iPhone 4 since upgrading to iOS6 ;) .

But in all seriousness, I haven't had any issues with my iPhone 5, or 4 running the OS. I have sen a line glitch a couple of times, but it hasn't broken my ability to type or work with any application yet.

No, actually you're one of the many. There are a few, however, who are having issues. Some real, some imagined, some just because they'll never be happy until the OS is custom tailored to their preferences out of the box. They are the most vocal. The other 8 million+ users are quite happy with their new phone, myself included.

My only real nit is the outer case. I must say that, if Apple would have offered the same tech inside, with the iPhone 4S case outside, I would have bought it instead of the new design. But that was my decision, and I'll live with it.

Sucks that there is no mention of bluetooth streaming to car stereos being messed up since the update... can't control the iPhone with my car stereo, and no track info is being received by the unit either... oh well that sounds like 6.1 will fix that...

All I want fixed is the horizontal bars, the wifi issues and the battery life on my iPhone 5 #

----------

What about battery life improvements on the 5? Mine kind of sucks. Does anyone else have any complaints with the battery? My last phone was a 4.

Same story for me

Scott Forstall should be fired for the Podcasts app alone.

That is the tip of the iceberg as far as Forstall is concerned. There are just too many basic quality control problems in the software process based on the poor finish we see in iOS6. After all maps was given to Forstall and look at that mess. iOS6 has too many basic issues that should have been picked up in automated testing never mind beta testing. If this new release isn't outstanding it will be yet another embarrassment for Apple.

But...but...iOS is already polished.
But...but...it's only lens flare.
But...but...I can see an extra row of apps.
But...but...I can now take a panoramic shot like other phones have been doing for years...and say the word cheeeeeeeeese as I do it.

iOS is a joke and going forward, unless there's a massive overhaul, it will continue to be a stale joke. WP8 and Android have will be the future.

Yes I must agree 100% with this. And I too can't stand that stupid iPhone commercial where the guy says Cheeeeeeese. So damn annoying. Apple's commercials in general have gotten a lot worse and annoying.

Not nearly as annoying as your post...

Incoming fowarded call fix

When Apple will fix that?

When call is fowarded from another number. You can't see it!!!??? :(

Tested with other phones and it works...
So it not carrier problem.
Problem is in IOS or iPhone...

Is that an iPhone 5? If so, it must be something wrong with it. When i bought it, the battery was draining quickly but once i waited for the battery to fully drain out and swiched itself off, and after the full charge have managed to get a full day out of it, using it quite a lot through the day.

Am I the only one who's auto-brightness has been less than optimal since iOS 5...? I can't be the only one...

Not gonna happen. Either get used to it or move on.

I am getting 9-10 hours usage and 1 day standby, I hope they don't change a thing with battery for me, and I am even in a 2-3 bar LTE area, haven't been full til I drive 20 min north.

We had a user here at the office with this same story. Turned out to be an Exchange calendar appointment that couldn't be synced due to a corruption on the server side. If you're using Exchange, check for that.
