Good to see the bugfix release is on it's way, but it's taken it's sweet time. Hopefully it fixes another half a dozen critical bugs such as the audio API playing after ending a call, and the springboard crashing if you swipe to call a missed call back.

And battery life.

6.1 has a very long list of much more fundamental issues to fix coming from the back of the iOS6 debacle.

Did they fix he issue with the data and everything else?
When on wifi still using cellular data?
When will they release this fix?

What about battery life improvements on the 5? Mine kind of sucks. Does anyone else have any complaints with the battery? My last phone was a 4.

The battery life on my iPhone 5 is much poorer than the iPhone 4 it replaced.

They MUST fix the battery drain issue for the 4 and 4S users. I am fed up with this problem and have been to the Apple Store twice and called Apple about it. They offered me a new 4S with iOS 5, but I don't want to lose all my app data and just starting a new phone over is a hassle. I told them that if it's not fixed in 1 month's time, I demand a replacement.

Apple is really dropping the ball. Problem after problem...and they keep rolling out new ****. Just make the things you have out already ****ing work properly, please.

+1.

I went from rarely dropping below 75% by the end of the day, to skimming by with 5-10% before I plug in at night. wtf happened.

Wasn't iOS 6 supposed to feature automatic toggling between WiFi and LTE, depending on the better signal?

No, it wasn't. The phone is suppose to prefer WiFi connections over cellular connections. If it didn't, many people would find that they're using their wireless data plan a lot more than they'd like.

That is stunning, really.

I remember changing some settings on my 4S to extend battery life back when I got it...but that is just crazy bad (doesn't seem like tweaks will help with that).

There's some people who've talked about rolling back...I'd probably figure out the way to do that if faced with what you've got. That is really tough dude.

I don't have those problems. They should clean up the App Store's code a bit. It sometimes lags.

It was implemented in one of the beta's, but i was indeed removed due to those concerns.

and on the update cook said..... let there be maps

im not updating until there is a full jailbreak

Well, most likely the jailbreak will be based off of 6.0.1 and not 6.0. Those extra bugs fixes in 6.0.1 will be very helpful.

No, my battery is great. I am quite shocked. Did you drain all the way down on first use and every so often after?

The HAVE to fix the battery issue with the iPhone 5.
It's TERRIBLE on LTE.

Not for me!

Wasn't iOS 6 supposed to feature automatic toggling between WiFi and LTE, depending on the better signal? I wish that would be included.. Sometimes I'm having lunch across the street from my office, and I have to turn Wi Fi off because the signal is way too weak to work, and it won't switch automatically to cel data. It's a pain, because I start to browse, and then notice the problem, so I have to stop and go back to settings. Happens all the time.. At home, my favorite Starbucks, work, etc..
I remember hearing that too but never saw anything about that once it was released.

Wow, am I upset with Apple after reading this. I have been having A lot of cellular problems since IOS 6. I have gotten 2 replacement phones & been on the phone numerous calls with customer service. They acted like mine was an isolated incident and I was crazy!

I hope this happens sooner than later. This has been the worst experience I have had with an iPhone.

What about battery life?!!?

Tell me about it. I thought my iPhone 4's battery life was getting pretty poor, but the iPhone 5 is even worse. I disabled LTE and decreased the brightness, but I still can't get through a typical school day on a single charge. Hopefully this is just a firmware or software issue.

Am i the only one who has good battery life and doesn't want them to tweak it because they tend to do more bad than good?

iOS 6 is to Lion as iOS 5 is to Snow Leopard. Does that work?
Anyways, they claim with each major iOS that its the "most" advanced system ever yet this one sucked. Just generally in terms of features and all the damn problems I and other people have been having.

Mine is good too. I keep forgetting to bring my charger to work because I hate seeing my battery at 50%, but even at 50% It'll still last. Sometimes, I stay at my moms and before bed time Im' at 40% but when I wake up at six am I still have 20%.. before with the iphone 4, my phone would be dead.. I don't freak out as much anymore if I don't have a charger. :apple:
