That is stunning, really.

I remember changing some settings on my 4S to extend battery life back when I got it...but that is just crazy bad (doesn't seem like tweaks will help with that).

There's some people who've talked about rolling back...I'd probably figure out the way to do that if faced with what you've got. That is really tough dude.

I would go back to 5.1 in a heartbeat. Unfortunately didn't save any blobs before I updated. I'm considering going into apple store and begging for a swap with anything that's on 5.1....

The only iOS 6 bugs I have come across are the camera flash going off before the camera takes the shot resulting in a dark image, a reboot of the phone fixed this everytime until it happens to go out of sync again, what a redicolous bug this is and should have been caught before iOS 6 was released, as I can produce this issue when ever I want.

The other one I have only seen once is a small line of flashing pixels on the very bottom of the right on the keyboard in the app store.

Apart from that iOS 6 on the iphone 5 has been flawless for me, perfect WiFi on my Netgear WNDR3700 router, I can easily hit 80Mbps down, 10Mbps up. The battery has also been very good.

That is the tip of the iceberg as far as Forstall is concerned. There are just too many basic quality control problems in the software process based on the poor finish we see in iOS6. After all maps was given to Forstall and look at that mess. iOS6 has too many basic issues that should have been picked up in automated testing never mind beta testing. If this new release isn't outstanding it will be yet another embarrassment for Apple.

Exactly. If I was in charge, Apple would still follow the "it just works" mantra. Right now, there is hardly a feature in iOS that does not have at least some kind of an issue with it. And, to make the matter worse, very few of these issues are trully difficult to identy to not have had them identified and removed prior to the GM release.

my iPhone has great battery life!

When I'm not on any network, wifi is turned off, brightness turned down low, turning it on once every 4-5 hours to check the time.

Seriously the iPhone 4 had **** battery life and even worse after the iOS6 update.

The iPhone5 is running not bad so far though.

please fix iTunes Match and bring back the delete a song button, its become utterly useless on iOS6

I just need an option to set maxium cache for Itunes match, if you didn't delete songs it keeps growing. Like 500MB maximum, i don't want my music on iPhone to be more than that, i have 5GB/month, enough for my music needs.

How about taking shared photo streams a step further and allow my wife to upload to MY shared photo stream? Make it a 2-way street.

Yep! A max would be great. I don't want it filling up until my phone is out of memory.

You can share photostream already..Just have both of you sign into the same iclould account on both phones. Thats what my wife and I do and we both share the stream. Not sure if that is what you ment tho.

It is unbelievable that the HORRIBLE battery life problem gets no mention at all in the update! I have turned off LTE, wifi, iCloud, dimmed screen to less than 25%, turned off notifications, etc an tho phone WILL NOT last beyond 5.5 hrs usage, often dying at 4 hrs.. Unbelievable misrepresentation of battery life by apple and not even any acknowledgment that they are aware and working on it! I have already had my first iPhone 5 replaced and the new one is just as lousy as the first. WHY DOES THE UPDATE NOT ADDRESS THIS? Hundreds of pages on the apple.com forums on this. Disgusted with apple after loving them since the 3G. The 5 is worse than my 2 year old iPhone 4 in battery life - much worse! FIX YOUR LOUSY EQUIPMENT OR ADMIT YOU INFLATED YOUR STATS!

I just want location based reminders for my ipad, as promised on the sheets shown at the ios presentation.

Somehow this sounds like some users of iOS now face the same problem as some users of Snow Leopard had one and a half year ago. Suddenly, the new version of the system they loved is not doing anymore the things they need as good as they anticipated.

Just a thought.

i0s 6 is pretty boring now. I do like the changes, but there are some really annoying problems. WiFi being one of them, it just randomly cuts out when sometimes it has 2 bars, and sometimes doesn't connect. The new app store is very laggy, just like the mac app store. Maps is nice, but I don't use it that much, but I can see how it would annoy regular users.

I really wish they kept the full slide to unlock bar instead of adding that camera slider in the corner.

Have you ever considered that it's you?

Ah, thanks for the tip.

Unless you can dictate which iCloud account to be on at the photostream-level, if I change it at the phone level, won't all of her backups and stuff start going to my iCloud account?

Yeah, you would have to goto the icloud settings in both your phones and changes settings but not sure if you can have 2 iclould accounts on the phone at once. I have my phone back up to icloud and hers through itunes, and we dont share anything else she just has my stream. I have my own calander/email and she doesnt. It depends on how you guys are set up.

Is anyone else having problems with the iTunes play count? Ever since I switched to the cloud, my play counts do not get updated on iTunes. Am I the only one with this problem? Any help?

Ok I'm not into the Steve Jobs joke about if he was there. but I have to say since his death there have been a lot of issues with apple products and updates.

Nope, mines been awful too. I've had to resort to turning auto brightness off and manually adjusting it.

The auto-brightness works differently than other iphones. I wish I could clearly explain to set it to work. Google about it, there is a good explanation on how to set it up to work. I thought it sucked too, but now it seems to work correctly.
Not as intuitive as before IMHO.

Way over due...

Way over due! Enough said....

I'm just glad I noticed the iTunes Match wi-fi bug before I went over my usage...

Haven't seen anyone mentioning this:
After taking a photo, and viewing that photo without leaving the camera app (swiping back), shows the photo awfully pixelated!!
If I then exit Camera, open Camera Roll and see it there it's fine, so it's definitely an issue while having the Camera open.
Started happening on my 4S after 6.0, and happens on the 5 as well...
