Hmmm
8.1 - Apple Pay
8.2 - Photos in Yosemite
8.3 - Apple Watch

Maybe?

8.2 is to support the successor to Apple TV. Apple's new domotica hub that not only plays your media through AirPlay but also controls your thermostat/measures your solar panels/closes the garage door through HomeKit.

This to me also seems pretty close, but there were also rumors of the iPad multitasking and such which could be in either 8.1 or 8.2.

Apple is clearly working on transit for Maps, but its sounds like that won't be in any iOS8 update and has been delayed likely until iOS9. The maps team seems to be in disarray.

I just hope they fix all the Bluetooth and Airplay issues in iOS8.

Looking forward to Photos once it is all worked out, but I imagine its organizational features will be terrible because it won't have a folder or hierarchical structure like most Apple apps (at least until people get annoyed enough, like with iCloud Drive now and FCP X, etc...).

Reachability helps some with one handed use, but since it doesn’t stick it actually makes some things much more complicated to use. Reading through my mail going back and forth between mailboxes/folders etc. I'm constantly double tapping.

I would have preferred an option that would have allowed me to double or triple tap and shift between just condensing the screen to bottom right or left at 1136x640 (depending on which hand hand you prefer) and it to stick in that mode until you double or triple tap out of it.

Hoping iOS 8.x will add that feature!

Photos in Yosemite is a completely separate thing.

My take:

8.1 - Apple Pay
8.2 - new iPad Pro?
8.3 - Apple Watch

8.1 - Apple pay
8.2 - Apple pay 5% surcharge feature
8.3 - Apple pay 4.5% surcharge feature usage fee

There better be a WIFI fix in these as I'm getting really tired of not being able to use WIFI for my data usage.

so probably no more iOS 8.x.x updates? when there are bug fixes or feature changes they will be 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4, and so on?

So there's still a few minor bugs in iOS 8.0.2. But mostly, I find issues with developer's who are slow to update their apps to run seemlesly on the new system. C'mon devs! ;)

More like this

8.1 - Bug fixes
8.2 - Bug fixes
8.3 - Bug fixes

The OS is so buggy I went back to Android. If you haven't found bugs you're only using a few apps a day or you choose to ignore them. Before returning my iPhone 6 I encountered bugs on a daily basis. Even the so called keyboard bug was still present after 8.0.2.

I downloaded 170 apps on my 128GB iPhone and I received only 10 updates from launch to yesterday morning and some of the issues still remained. Just look at bejeweled. Nice big black bar in the middle of the screen even after the update.
