So they do test them before releasing them?

Yes, Fred and Bert who are the night watchmen are given the daily builds, and when the iOS team come back the following morning they ask if they had any problems.

If Fred and Bert say it's good, then it's the public release that day! :D

hope they add interactive notifications for 3d party apps that actually supports quick reply

Confident 8.1 will be for Apple Pay in October. Really excited for this functionality so I hope it's early October and not the 31st!

:apple:

Macrumors - Rumors so juicy, even Apple employees with Security Clearance to unreleased OS versions, are looking forward to the latest buzz.

Well I'm glad they're testing it.. iOS 8 has been the worst iOS yet! It didn't have that many changes so I do not understand why so many bugs. When people pay premium price for a product we do expect quality in the product and the performance of the product.

shouldnt 8.1 beta be out if its including apple pay?

this would be a short beta period to get it out in time for october...

iPad Pro (if it exists)

Anyone know if the iPad pro actually exists and if so...will it have usb ports for lightning cables.

The developer APIs are already in 8.0. I could see 8.1 being used for a rollout of bug fixes and enabling of the feature though.

Apple hasn't regularly posted betas for releases that aren't major though.

Most of the changes were deeper architectural changes, such as 3rd party keyboards and new APIs. This will affect the OS much more than "closer to the surface" changes such as new features and UI tweaks.

In the long run it will be better for the user since 3rd party apps will be able to take advantage of the new APIs and have better integration and functionality. But user's won't see the benefits immediately.

Will 8.1 or 8.2 make my iPhone 6 work?
Pics upside down
landscape works when it want to, mostly not
swipe in photos does not work.
FaceTime call shows person sideways
quick reply to text does not bring up keyboard, and if it does, keystrokes are being done behind the screen the device search screen.
and much much more:confused:
restore in iTunes errors with Error code 1 (hardware?)
Apple store has no replacement devices.

So, 8.1 perhaps is a workable version of 8.0.2?
