Yet they sure seem to be when they are coming from the radical left.

“Protestors should not let up.”
-Kamala Harris

“If you see anybody from that Cabinet [Trump] in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and create a crowd and you push back on them and you tell them they are not welcome anymore, anywhere.”
-Maxine Waters

“I just don’t know why there aren’t uprisings all over the country. Maybe there will be.”
-Nancy Pelosi

Proof positive it isn't about inciting violence. AOC posted that "protests shouldn't be comfortable" - direct quote - two tweets. I reported them as inciting violence but both her tweets and her account still exist.

Countless more examples.

They simply don't want conservatives on their platform.

I don't plan to stay where I'm not wanted.

I think any American should be concerned. No matter what your view, you should be concerned. Can’t believe it’s happening in America.

Twitter is a de facto Town Hall or Main Street on the Internet, it should be a beacon of free speech. It's sad.

So it’s okay for some liberals to be extremely intolerant, but not okay for conservatives to be intolerant. Do you even hear yourself?

The Paradox of Tolerance:

"Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them.—In this formulation, I do not imply, for instance, that we should always suppress the utterance of intolerant philosophies; as long as we can counter them by rational argument and keep them in check by public opinion, suppression would certainly be most unwise. But we should claim the right to suppress them if necessary even by force; for it may easily turn out that they are not prepared to meet us on the level of rational argument, but begin by denouncing all argument; they may forbid their followers to listen to rational argument, because it is deceptive, and teach them to answer arguments by the use of their fists or pistols. We should therefore claim, in the name of tolerance, the right not to tolerate the intolerant."

Karl Popper

Did I hear myself say it's Ok to be intolerant? No. If you heard that, you didn't hear me. I said both sides can be intolerant, one side less so and one side more so.

No. You said one side has people that are EXTREMELY intolerant, and one side is intolerant over a broader range of things, which I am honestly not sure I agree with, but it’s getting late, and I don’t have time to argue that.

That's one way. But in a free society, that's no way to live with freedom. Even intolerant people have rights and free speech.

I don’t use social media, I think platforms like Twitter are a sewer demonstrating the idiocy of the average punter. I expect Parler is no different. Anyway, just downloaded it just in case it gets pulled just because.

Again, violence and racism re not protected speech. And AOC's "protests shouldn't be comfortable" does not suggest violence be committed.

One side is intolerant against sexism, anti-semitism, fascism, LGBT discrimination, and racism.

The other side is intolerant for policies for racial, gender, sexual, and cultural equality.

Intolerance is perfectly fine to have in a society. But again, you're being willfully ignorant in believing that both sides are operating in good faith/morally/ethically.

you should read what ai said again.

Wow, full on China level censorship.
It's called fascism, communism, authoritarianism.

How about if we ban all company products that are made in countries that prohibit freedom of expression, use forced labor, resembling slave labor camps, 14 hour work days for little pay, live in crowded unhealthy confined company designated areas, fire workers for grievances about their working conditions.

...or is that too much to ask for in a country that is supposed to represent freedom of expression, freedom to assemble, freedom to choose, freedom to choose what product you do or don't want to use, freedom to protest the government for grievances, freedom to disagree and voice that disagreement, independent thought and what is supposed to be democracy to the rest of the world?

There once was a man named Steve who built a company on the principle of being an individual who is free to choose and express himself despite pressures from monopolistic corporations to do otherwise. What has happened to that company? What has happened to that country?

If they’re going to ban this app, I really hope it’s because people are using it to plan violent attacks and not just non-violent marches or something. Anyone actually browse this app and verify? If they are actually planning violent attacks, shouldn’t the FBI get involved and arrest at least the main organizers?

It sure sounds like you didn't know. But you’re probably just regurgitating something you heard on Fox News or Breitbart.

See, I can do it too.

It would be funny if I actually watched either one of them. Fox News is just as much fake news as CNN or any of the other ones. Breitbart? Never even heard of it. You see, I actually like to form my opinions for myself instead of having someone telling me how to think.

Well I don’t recall anyone going after people threatening to kill Trump publicly. Maybe I missed that.
Probably, after all you did say "I will not read most media accounts of anything, and believe it to be so. Everything is manipulated, parts picked and chosen, etc."

Twitter is lousy with porn? Really? I need to get an account.

China is business, not political. China has the right to ban whatever they want, and Apple complies to keep the cash flowing. Nothing liberal or conservative about it.

The whole "we conservatives are such victims" narrative is getting tiresome.

China killed 70million+ of it's own citizens less than 70 years ago...

I am not a victim. I did better in Trump's economy than any other I've lived through. In another comment I plainly said I have no intention of staying where I'm not wanted. As soon as my data export is complete on Twitter my account will be overwritten and deleted.

Again, violence and racism re not protected speech. And AOC's "protests shouldn't be comfortable" does not suggest violence be committed.

AOC's comment was much more inciteful than anything I've seen on Trump's page, especially the few tweets that caused all this. He plainly told his supporters to go home and to not bother the police.

Doesn't make them Nazis, but they sure act like fascists, which is defined as people who value dictatorial and complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.

What you described sure sounded a lot like what was going on in Portland all summer. Especially their autonomous zone. Oh yeah I forgot they are anti fascists though. It’s even in their name.

You understand that we already have a democratic government right? Or is it that you prefer some other type of government? Say an autocracy?
Actually, we live in a constitutional republic, which you’d know if you ever cracked a book. And it’s losing the ”democracy” feeling every day, more and more. Eventually, a large swath of this country’s population just won’t take it anymore.

You simply search out a platform that support your already formed political views. So spare me the "oh, I only use unbiased sources". All news has a bias. But if 20 news orgs report something, and two report the opposite, its a good bet the 20 are right.

Right. You mean after he had already incited a violent mob?

And besides spending the last three months claiming that the elections were fraudulent and encouraging his supports to play election watchers because Democrats were "rigging the election"?

"The (MAGA) movement that has formed around the lie that the election was fraudulent imposes on itself no binding obligation of any kind to recognize the reality of what actually happened. We need to understand this as a foundational principle: This movement does not view itself as bound by an election’s legitimate outcome.

That’s why this debate, I think, often has an air of people talking past one another. When Democrats, principled Republicans and journalists point out the facts about the election’s legitimacy, it ricochets off the bubble this movement has constructed around itself.

The lies this movement tells about the election aren’t meant as real arguments. They are that bubble, the outer rhetorical fortress inside which the movement’s genuine convictions sit protected and undisturbed.

Those convictions are as follows: The election should be overturned because Trump and his coalition are supposed to have won and supposed to remain in power, because their voters are entitled to legitimate political representation and the opposition’s are not."
