Ok, so for all the people who blasted Apple for not allowing this in the first place.....
How many are actually going to use this app? I'm guessing a small percentage of the people who complained.

I'm thinking the same thing. I have a cell phone. I give everyone my cell phone number. All of my friends do the exact same thing. I don't have a landline and none of my friends do either (I'm in my 30s btw; not a kid living with mom and dad) What would I possibly want Google Voice for?

IT'S LIVE !!

Apple approved GV Mobile + and it rocks.

yeah, it's 2.99 but it's worth it. On my wifi it's BLAZING fast.

I wish there was some cool way to switch between accounts though--- but then again the switching between accounts is fine and I can't think of any better way to do it and you can add as many accounts as you need.

Sean has stated there's an issue with ios 3.2 and lower but he announced this morning (9/19/10) that he's pushing out an update for this already and hopes it gets approved fast.

here's a link: GV Mobile +

What you and the other poster are missing is the fact that you're both completely self absorbed. Because you don't need something doesn't make it right for Apple to remove the choice from you or others to use it.

You might not need now, you might not need it ever. Others do, and you might in the future, so the choice should still be there, and there is nothing wrong in complaining to Apple to offer that choice. Especially if there is no technical reasons behind refusing it, only petty tactics to piss competitors.

I can't use Google Voice in Canada and only have 1 phone number. I'd still probably use it for free SMS/Voice mail if it was available though, if not for the GV number.

Been using it for a day and it's got a LOT to recommend it for but the lack of PUSH notifications is a serious need. Unable to filter calls within the app is a need and a bunch of other settings need to be added but considering how the Dev has responded so quickly to things so far I'm hopeful.

It's been great so far over wifi and even 3G has been very snappy.

Anyone else try it?
