Yeah, the totally new iPhone with breakthrough features including black diamond cut bezel edge. Wait, it is the same as iPhone before it. Talking about no clue what to do next.

Let's go here - I've had my iPhone5 exactly six months - I got it maybe five or six weeks after the opening weekend.

It's funny. People have an attention span of a gnat but their cellular contracts are all still two years long. What can you do?
I know what you can do, not buy in to the system! $50 per month so I can get a meh internet signal on a tiny screen with limited usage? I honestly don't see the value in that. I've been using an iPod Touch and a pay-as-you-go basic flip-phone for years now.

I don't see any advantage worth my while to get a "smart"phone. The costs are outrageous, the features are lackluster, and the devices are outdated faster than you can buy a case for them.

There's a lot of truth in your post. Facts that many will either deny or argue against due to Apples success in convincing them it's a must have item.

In my case due to the nature of my work a smartphone is an asset. There's no games or music on my smartphones. They are the tools that help me maximize my work day. They set me free sooner due to increased productivity they make possible.

Yet that said, I've never said I was bored or that iOS is stale, since it does all I need it to do. Some people are more concerned with entertainment, which I respect. But that changes the status from a serious tool tool to a fun toy.

As far as iToys go, one's far better off with an iPad. Despite steadfastly clinging to their little screens, everything is more enjoyable on an iPad. I know, I have them both :)

If it dont get a 4.8 inch screen i wont buy it, i have iPhone5 and GSIII and i love the S3's screen. Same with iOs, its just to striped down, more advance features are really needed. One simple thing is to be able to disconnect from a bluetooth device. iOS is really to simplistic for my taste after having used it for 3 years so Android is pulling me closer and closer the more i use it so i hope Apple can turn around the boat and offer something more to the old users who want to do a bit more with their phones.

I heard a rumor it would be 14mp camera (optional 1440p video recording), +1 hour battery, usb3, 32,64,128,256gb range, airplay 1080p, bluetooth low voltage, redesigned iOS, Sapphire crystal screen lamination, waterproof, icloud coverage of the same size.

You mean BMW doesn't make different cars at different price points? Or Mercedes? Or Lexus? Or Infiniti? Or Audi? Or Jaguar? Or Range Rover? Bad analogy.

$2 per phone x 100 million phones = $200 million dollars additional profit. That's a big deal.

That would be if the phones were the same price... They are going to be "Lower Cost" phones... And I would imagine it would be much lower than $2 less... so you already lost your $2 profit... That math dont work...

My payout is just for the device. This is for work so I get 100% reimbursement on the bill every month or I'd probably be in your shoes.

iOS Over Everything

While we all love our hardware in the iPhone 5, what we really need is the OS to harbor all the power that they are going to put into the device! I would rather have 2 huge updates to iOS than, another phone with all the flaws we keep running into! C'mon Apple, we're counting on you!
