In before someone says, the SMALLER 4.7" iPhone deserves this as well. Yep, tons of space in the inside of the smaller version. /s
Get rid of the sim and you got all the space you need. Not gonna buy the plus version even if they put an integrated projector. It's a joke, not a phone. Something this big is nowhere close to be usable (and the 4.7'' is already too big -I got an iPhone 6-)

I won't even get my hopes up. Ever since Tim Cook has taken over as CEO, most of the product announcements have been pretty boring. Especially the one in 2011. I understand Steve Jobs was on life support then, but it was a pretty underwhelming event with a small crowd, and also a very disappointing phone announcement.

Tim just doesn't seem excited about the products as much as he should be. I miss that in Steve Jobs. Tim doesn't know anything about technology-- he's just a business man that knows how to handle finances. The head of a company like Apple should be a technology visionary, and an enthusiast.

Get back to the sexy design and a relatively bug free OS with the iPhone 7. Stand out from the other smartphones so people actually have a reason to respect the iPhone again.

Totally spot on. I have been wondering exactly what it was about Cook and Ive that I just couldn't quite put my finger on. They are sharks in a business world and are devoid of passion except for their own sakes.

Absolutly true.

Indeed he is not into products! and why the hell he should be? He is a successful supply chain and finance manager for Apple. All he cares about big profits, money and pure business. Apple is a ready made shop for him to make money. Rest everything he threw on Jony, who is polluting everything in the community by believing himself as GOD of designs. Not to mentioned he screwed, violated and squeezed out all Apple design class and taste.

Apple is really outsourcing the dev of it's products to the point where it will soon say, envisioned in california.

It is complete BS that only the "plus" models get camera upgrades, I am becoming less and less of an :apple: fan as of late.

Do you go to the car dealership and bitch about the high end model of a car getting all the features??

You HAVE the option to buy the better iPhone just like everyone else. Stop crying.

I think that people who don't like the 5.5" are a joke because they're so close minded that they don't see others may have different opinions.

While you have a right to how you feel about the size of the phone, it is not JOKE, just not preferred by you. I have been using the 6 Plus since they came out (Have 6s Plus now). After a year with the Plus, IMO, I can't every imagine going back to the smaller versions of it. I looked at my G/F 5 and it felt so tiny, so obsolete. When she upgraded to the 6s (not the plus), at first she didn't like that it was bigger then then 5, but after a few weeks, she absolutely loves the 6s size. Size is a matter of personal preference. I think the 6s Plus is a perfect size for me, maybe not for you, but it is ABSOLUTELY NOT A JOKE!

I can easily afford an iPhone Plus, but do I want a bigger screen? NO. So to only give the higher end features to the largest model is stupid when many people want the smaller screen size. People who agree with this, don't have anything against the Plus sized model, they just don't find it comfortable. What is so hard about that for you to understand?

There are small sized high end cars with "all" the features. Mine is Space Gray.

Easily handed with one hand.

No I don't bitch about the higher end getting all the features because I'm not forced to get an entirely different car in order to get a single specific feature.

The 5.5" is too damn big for many people, including myself. I just want to have the same camera features of the plus without the gargantuan screen. You are the one who is a close minded joke, I respect that you like a bigger screen and you are welcome to said bigger screen but it should not be at the expense of the smaller sized phone losing features.

This is what I've been saying about Cook for a long, long time. He was the wrong guy to be sitting at the CEO chair. Brilliant supply chain guy does not necessarily translate to being a good CEO. I'm more concerned about Jeff Williams who is apparently next in line. He and Cook both attended the same college.

Something about those two doesn't seem right. Jony, I think, should leave Apple and go independent with his own design agency. He's getting burnt out and I think Apple needs a new design language without his presence.

Dual lens will come to both the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. No way only the 7 Plus gets it.

Beautifully put. The company isn't in financial trouble with him at the helm. But a certain spark seems missing - excitement.

That would be Elon Musk and Bezos. Even Google and Zuckerberg. They seem to really be trying different things out, like drones and space vehicles/rockets and internet for all.

Apple keeps cranking out objects that have little computers in them. Not that that is bad.

When Cooks said that virtual reality was a big thing coming, he sounded about as clueless and aimless as Bill Gates used to be. Oh well. Apple is just a big, stable corporation becoming what it has always been: see what's been tried already for a few years and then improve on it and make it user friendly.

Which they are failing at. I think many of use dread using iTunes now.

I agree. Looking at the way the iPhone looks on the back side, it's pretty darn ugly. That guy is supposed to be a design genius? A chief of design with some balls would've said, "no, that phone looks hideous."

I had the 6 and the 6+. I ended up giving the 6+ to my daughter and took her 5S. I love the 5S.

I have average hands. My wife has tiny hands and a big phone would be way too big.

This is not true for all people. But the smaller phones should have feature parity with the big ones. It shouldn't be a matter of good, better, best - by size.

Personally, I think for the iPhone 7, the flat edge or metal wrap around like iPhone 4 and 5 would make sense. They need to go back to that because it's easier to grip and hold.

I suspect it was Tim that OKed the final look based on Jony's recommendations and the back with the dark lines, I think, are actually antennas. This must be how they reached a solution for better reception.

I'm not an engineer by any means, but they probably could've put the antenna at the top in a black square, similar to what they did with the iPad. Those lines are just ugly.

For once I prefer the design of the Samsung Galaxy S6 over the iPhone, which is sad.

Oh look at what you are doing Timmy..
Apple fans are almost fighting each other, perhaps this is what happens when you try to fragment too much..

Also, I agree with the other user, sure the "Plus" model can accommodate this feature with ease, but I don't reckon Apple ever sold it as a "Pro" model. The 4.7 inch iPhone would be able to accommodate such features just as well, if only they didn't try to make it thinner than paper.

If it does happen, the 5.5 inch users will no doubt be happy.
But it sure will piss off the 4.7 inch user, at least I would be. It isn't about paying more, or being "cheap", they're fragmenting the iPhone line too much. One extra feature doesn't make the other one "Pro", in all honesty they should try to make that device as thin as possible, and come up with highly spec'd iPhones with identical specs with the only difference being the size. IMHO, best way to sell.

And to the guy with the car analogy, if the "high end" model of the car is totally different in shape/size, then it's a total different car mate. It's basically a Sedan vs a freaking Wagon, and not many people are looking to upgrade to a wagon, over a sedan.

>End rant.
>Don't even reply to this, even if I hurt your feelings, please.

I'm still not over the lack of OIS on my 6S after watching a video demonstrating the drastic difference, and this will be even worse. Also, the iPhone 5SE rumors confirm that the huge bezels on the iPhone are here to stay (because Apple wouldn't release a 4 inch iPhone if the 4.7 inch model was going to get substantially smaller).

Without the dual camera, I honestly don't see any reason for 6/6S users to upgrade besides getting a basic spec bump.

Lastly, what's comical is that they are dropping the headphone jack after the first YOY iPhone sales decline! Haha, good luck with that Mr. Cook!

When Jony brought iPhone 6 design to Tim, I wish he would have said "This is s**t"

Let's go apple i want to see the best camera in a smartphone ever! For what we pay for the device, better be the best!

PS: oh and also step up the quality in those headphones...you have beats in the house...c'mon...for what we pay, we deserve some better accessories..

If it results in the camera(s) NOT protruding noticibly from the device and doesn't insanely drive up phone pricing then I can totally get behind this "Dual Cam" thing :p;)

Yeah I think this is a b*tch move from Apple, too. I understand they want to charge extra for extra features, but why making them available only on a phablet version which is not for everybody?
