Its not to Tims advantage to use these leaks as publicity stratagey as they will surly hurt the sales of the present lineup.
These are either leaks or speculation.. Imho

Well, then why all these leaks started under his management only? Till iphone 4s, apple leaks and rumors were not at all common. And nowadays there is not a single thing which you don't know before the launch of any Apple product. New management thinks that these leaks gives boost to hype of their product and we will sell more on launch weekend. But in real, all excitement and thrill is died till the launch. On top that boring, non excited and slow announcement of Tim. aahhh !

I won't even get my hopes up. Ever since Tim Cook has taken over as CEO, most of the product announcements have been pretty boring. Especially the one in 2011. I understand Steve Jobs was on life support then, but it was a pretty underwhelming event with a small crowd, and also a very disappointing phone announcement.

Tim just doesn't seem excited about the products as much as he should be. I miss that in Steve Jobs. Tim doesn't know anything about technology-- he's just a business man that knows how to handle finances. The head of a company like Apple should be a technology visionary, and an enthusiast.

Get back to the sexy design and a relatively bug free OS with the iPhone 7. Stand out from the other smartphones so people actually have a reason to respect the iPhone again.

I have to agree about that. I love Apple and will be loyal to the death, but I really have to say that Tim Cook, while a fantastic businessman, just doesn't have the vision or the flare that Steve had.

I don't know if any of you saw this, but Steve even had that flare during BUSINESS MEETINGS. When he was pitching the Apple Campus 2 to the Cupertino city council, it was one of the most fun presentations I've watched. I mean it was literally like watching an Apple Special Event.

Here's the link if anybody wants to see what I'm saying.

A bit late in the year to be sending samples, no? I don't believe it's going to be included in the 7 series. If this does end up being true for the 8, and the wireless at a distance also ends up being true, that would be a heck of a iPhone 8 release.
Those are just rumors ... this could be something related to an iPhone 7S or even iPhone 8.

Did you realize there aren't many (if any) talented people like Steve Jobs when it comes to keep a keynote, right ?
Tim Cook is doing just fine, considering the heavy heritage.

There are small sized high end cars with "all" the features. Mine is Space Gray.

Easily handed with one hand.

This is bigger .... and better

This is a very cool feature if this happens!
Apple values "cool" over delivering a bug free experience.

Instead of improving the daily operation of iOS, they've cleverly determined just how much the users will tolerate in the way of lags, crashing and other annoyances. Then instead of fixing it, they go for "cool"

After all "cool" is an Apple tradition and more importantly it's one of their age old tactics. A bragging rights thing to satiate the corporate ego... :D

Apple is now producing 100x more devices than in 2008, that alone explains most of it.
Bigger operation, more chances for leaks.
Also, it's hard to leak something that's just in the lab when announced than something that's already in production (or pre-production).

I also find this kind of absurd train of thoughts, absent any actual logic, just incredible.

Another downplaying post... I don't remember the last time my iDevices crashed.
maybe it was in the iOS 7 "pre iOS 7.1" era ....
I can't see any lag on my iDevices, even on the older one like the iPad Air.

If they go through with this please make the side by side cameras horizontal when shooting in LANDSCAPE ORIENTATION!

Do rant that Apple is not making some impossible product just to displease you....
The 6s already has a much less battery life than the 6s+, if they can't go to 10nm this year (probable) and thus not getting much better efficiency, you'd be OK losing possibly 1h of battery life for that much bigger camera?

With optics, you need space, and yes, smaller phones have less space. With an increase in efficiency in the 7s, you may get the same thing (but I'd bet it would come in the 8 instead).
It was already revealed that the optical stabilization would fit into 6s with no trade offs. The module size is about the same. That's why I rant about this, not about the battery life.

Not back in 2008. I am talking about just till 3 years ago, that is 2011, till Steve was involved somewhere. After 2012 they blindly started leaking ! Apple has huge infrastructure and strictly implemented security framework just to keep their secrecy. If they want, they can't even let leaked out information about a screw out of the factory. Despite of all these system, these many leaks are very suspicious. And not to forget... Keynotes and technical blogs were meant for Apple community purpose. New Apple team is using keynotes and blog sites as their main resources to gain cheap attention and leaked publicity stunts

You can't judge CEO based on his presentation/public speaking skills. Steve Jobs was great in that, but it does not mean Tim Cook does not have the same or even more ambitious vision.
