Inflation rates look at a basket of commodity items. Pretending it has any relevance at all to tech is beyond foolish. Tech drops in price over time.
No offence, but clearly you have no clue what you're talking about. Semi-conductor parts have gone up SIGNIFICANTLY over the last few years.
You're also not comparing apples to apples. Quoting Black Friday sales on parts means sweet f-all, that's not MSRP. And also not the same thing. An external part is not the same as an internal one being soldered to the board, the costs are different. Am I defending Apple's retarded SSD prices? No, they are a rip off as I already stated. I said you have to ALSO factor in inflation.
People also can't seem to grasp that the design and customer service from a company are thrown in with the price but they're not free. Why is a Mercedes more expensive than a Hyundai? They both achieve the same task.
