yes. But it is highly unlikely that Apple will drop the 5S after just one year.

But they aren't....just like the iPhone 5. All the same internals, but in a cheaper more margin friendly casing.

Just my thoughts. But the easiest way is probably the most likely. In which case:

iPhone 5C = free/$449
iPhone 5S = $99/$549
iPhone 6 (4.7") = $199/$649 (maybe 6A for Air?)
iPhone 6 (5.5") = $299/$749 (6P for Pro?)

I dig how these rumors always use "will" instead of "might". In this case Apple will see the the debut of the 4.7-inch iPhone 6.

Did I miss the official announcement?

Please let us pre-order it this year. I don't want to have to sleep outside again.

Will we have a refreshed 4" option? That's big enough for me, but I'd like to have the newest and shiniest.

Apple most likely will discontinue the current 5S and the current 5C will be rename the iPhone Mini and Apple will drop the 32Gb model. It's components will say the same for the most part with the exception of the LTE 6 and 802.11AC.

iPhone 5C will cost $449 full price.
iPhone 5S will cost $549 full price.
iPhone 6 4.7 will cost $649 full price
iPhone 6 5.5 will cost $749 full price.

You can see a glimpse of the future price of iPhone 5S at http://www.walmart.com/ip/Straight-Talk-Apple-iPhone-5S-4G-LTE-16GB-Prepaid-Smartphone/33152936 which leads me to believe that iPhone 5C and 5S will cost $100 less.

So just a 5C and 4.7" and 5.5" iP6? No way. Makes zero sense to discontinue the 5S.

Big question is hoe much storage options they will offer for each tier and what the base storage will be.

My guess:

5C 8/16 GB
5S 16/32 GB
4.7" 6 32/64/128 GB
5.5" 6 32/64/128 GB

We would have said that about the 5 last year.

Apple seems to be becoming more predictable on release schedules and less predictable on products / names / etc.

I came back to 5s after Samsung S4 due to its size. So the mega iPhone doesn't excite me at all.

Hopefully they will have other hardware updates that could be interesting.

That's what I meant - the iPhone 6 4.7 will hit the same flagship price point as always. The 5C and 5S will bump down $100 and the 5.5" will hit the same price point as the Note series. Got my off-contract prices mixed up.

I bet we stick with 16/32/64 on the iPhone 6, but the price increase for each tier goes from $100 to $50. You're probably right on the other two.

Margins still stay at roughly 70% if the BOM doesn't increase drastically.

I think Apple should name the sizes Small, Medium and Large

iPhone 6S
iPhone 6M
iPhone 6L

I always skip the odd iPhone releases. Even releases are usually better. Currently have an iPhone 4S and I believe its time to upgrade. Battery has been draining very quickly on that thing. Too bad these phones are gonna get sold out fairly quickly :/

O ye of little faith

If you want one, you can have one.

Probably one of the worst ideas I have read on all these forums and I've read a lot

yeah they should be called Iphone 6/1 iPhone 6/2 and iPhone 6/3

Great, now Windows/Android fanboys will be complaining that all Apple did this time was take the iPhone and make it bigger... and they are the ones who complain about variety in products.

Bold Flavor!

I am going out on a limb here, but I will boldly predict that the next iPhone version after the iPhone 6 will be announced September 9th, 2015!!

:D :D :D :D

Also iPhone 6 and September 9.

9-6=3

Apple confirms Half-Life 3

My God I love the internet...
