Apple to Launch Personal Pickup for iPhone 5 Tonight

Where in the world are you seeing phones showing as "available?"

Both the online store and app are greyed out...

If you check any city in a time zone that is not currently 10pm they all say OCT 30. It's just using the shipping calculation date. If you check a city that is now after 10PM it will either say "In Stock" or "Unavailable for Pickup"

This leads me to believe that you cannot check stock until after 10PM LOCAL without getting the default Oct 30 message. I tested about 10 different major cities and every one in MDT or PDT says OCT 30 and every one in CDT or EDT etc. says either "In Stock" or "Unavailable for Pickup" including some of the biggest cities I could think of.

I changed my time zone to CA time and the "Buy now" button is grayed out. I wonder if it means that it will just be the same as now with the blue "Buy now" button once it hits 10pm in CA?

Mine just went from every store saying "Oct 30" to all saying "Unavailable for pickup" except one that says "In Stock"

but still can't select "pickup in store"
 
Could anyone bother checking Northern VA?

I thought every apple store was getting a bit of everything for tomorrow. Itll suck if they dont.
 
I have a number that allows no contract but it wants me to pay for a data line to activate. I think I am just going to upgrade on my line and deal with trying to pay full price at apple or att store and getting the contract removed.
 
Could someone using the app for verizon do me a favor and check 16 gb or 32 gb availability in stores closest to the zip code 01824
 
How nice is it when MacRumors is used for good... users looking up availability for other users... better than when the trolls come in here... gives me some hope for humanity after all.

I was there today and was told that they expected a shipment first thing in the morning, so I guess I'll just have to wait and see. Thank you!

I'm sorry to say so but they tell that to everyone. :D

Also, it seems like they tell everyone that they're "sold out". However, when I asked them to check they surprisingly had some left (sadly not the version I wanted). But again, that showed how they didn't even care to check before they tell that they don't have any left. :D
