Apple to Launch Personal Pickup for iPhone 5 Tonight

Dang. Haven't seen anything for the Brea Mall in any size or color.

Having a hard time finding a Black 64 GB one period.

Not to sure if we can pick it up without the "ready for instore pickup email".. I'm going to go to the store anyway with or without that specific email..

So does that mean that i dont have my iphone "secured" in the sense yet? Or since that the order actually went through with the store that I will be able to get an iphone tomorrow?

It depends if you're paying full price for the phone, if you are, then they should be able to sell it to you device-only. Otherwise they will have to activate in-store, but that takes very little time, you should be in and out within 30 minutes.

What I want is the 2 Verizon phones device-only, without activating service, and it doesn't seem like I can do that with reservation, will have to go to the stores and hope they will have them in stock.

Interesting. So how does that apply to people who buy from apple.com and have it shipped to their address? Does the phone already come pre-activated?

Ether23, thanks for all the info. Keep me posted on how you make out. This laptop in SAFEMODE is giving my brain a headache and I gotta wake up early tomm.

The title of my email says....Your order is being processed. Than in the body it says....We'll send an email when you order is ready for pickup.. Another person said they received a second one saying your order is ready for pickup after the initial one.. I believe it's confirmed but you'll get a second notice.

Oh i understand what you mean now. I thought you meant that because I havent gotten a second (your order is ready) email that it didnt go through and I wasnt able to reserve an Iphone. I expect that since it did go through and take the funds from my bank and that I got the first email, that it did go through and secured my phone for tomorrow.

Yeah, no white for me. I could;ve had white Friday morning. I got up to the desk to buy my black and they just ran out...still had white but I didn't take it. The white looks nice but the black 5 is sick!

I agree.. I had both of them 64gb's White and Black in my shopping cart. I canned the white one as soon as I saw it go instock in Santa Monica.. Hopefully yours will show up soon at another location..

Yes. But I've never got a phone that way coz they used to be all locked until this Verizon iPhone 5. (well, iPhone 3GS I didn't want it til day 1 of sale and I got them from AT&T store without any issues, iPhone 4, I did the pre-order in-stock pickup thing, HUGE mistake, took like 9 hours to get our phones, 4S, I wanted them unlocked, so went to stores around SF and got them device-only first week).
 
I was able to get a black 64GB AT&T at Hillsdale Mall in San Mateo at around 10:30. At that time it was the only Bay Area store showing In Stock for it.
 
Ah just registered for this, love how everyone is so helpful here. Anyone have any luck in Arizona? I've been on this since ten but no luck :/

Yeah, it looks like the San Diego locations haven't updated their stock at all yet because I've thrown in all the models and none of them are there...unless they all didn't get any.
