They'll be two groups of customers in this regard, that Apple will target. There are those, with Intel Machines, or M1 Computers. They will want to get on board, before the launch of macOS 27, which will mark a line in the sand of supported devices, and then there are those with M3's and M4's, who want to 'splash the cash', and are early adopters, and by default, accepting of redesigned hardware.I'm sorry, but I seriously doubt Apple will update the MacBook Pro twice in the same year. If this is true, I can see people skip the M5 MacBook Pro upgrade, and wait for the M6 one that'll be released only a few months later.
I imagine Apple will launch the M5 MacBook Pro's sometime February/March, and the M6's around October/November, leaving quite a gap for those who you suggest might 'skip it'.
