Just had a thought...given the location chosen for the event. I wonder if Apple might reveal a video of Steve Jobs posthumously recorded before his passing where he gives his personal take on these new product initiatives Apple is venturing into. A lot of them have been a long time in the making. It's possible, just maybe. I think the internet might explode if that happened ;)

That would be super-cheesy. Absolutely no class at all.

You are the kind of person that causes large companies to turn to crap. No matter what they release, as long as it's got an Apple logo on it, you'll blindly hand over your money. That is one of the reasons Microsoft and Nokia fell apart. Assuming punters will pay up just because they always have. Where are they now?

Expect and demand better.

With the quantity of leaked images and articles practically showing the entire item inside out before it's even announced (and bearing in mind they tend to be rather accurate closer to release, going by previous years) I would hardly be going in blind. Also considering you are are aware of my current situation and why I may need to upgrade this year, that's a rather unfair comment.

Trying to decide if I should watch hop in and out of live blogs when I get the chance at work or just wait until I get home and watch the whole video of the event before getting on the internet... hmm

Some ice cream for the iStream :p

the whole lot more line is interesting. However, the line " Join us at Apple.com on September 9 at 10 a.m. PDT to follow every moment." is more indicative of an iWatch-type device announcement. "every moment"

I didn't even think of that. " every moment" is like multiple announcements. I'm going with iPhones iPads iWatch or iPod hopefully Apple TV and maybe retina macbook airs

hey hey i'm brisbane too! sucks having to wait a whole extra day and watch it on the 10th, damn time zones.
Well technically we're not waiting as it's the same time, but I hear ya loud and clear. Totally sucks. But on the plus side, we don't have work getting in the way.

But if you are watching the stream live, feel free to hit up the MacRumors IRC channel for some nice conversation about the event before/during/after it. I frequent that IRC channel, nice place to be.

Thanks mate :)

I have the feeling T. Cook will drop his keynote clicker at the end of the keynote like singers/rap artist do at their end of the show. #peaceout

Very of topic. But last year today I arrived in Brisbane for a small holiday. How I wish I could be there now again. Yes I watched the keynote in the hotel.

That's what I'm debating on. I can check out the live blogs in-between working, but would be nice to watch it going in blind. Would need a direct link to the replay to avoid spoilers ;)

Wow this is definitely a huge deal if they're doing this. Tomorrow is going to be epic.

Spoiler Free Link?

I have to work a 16 hour shift tomorrow. When I get home the only thing I would like to do is watch the recorded event from a macrumors spoiler free link.

Is it up yet?

But will it come in the color GOLD? lol

Are you frigging kidding me?
A big deal was like when Microsoft introduced the XBOX. Not when a company runs a count down clock jeesh!

An iPhone introduction (pretty much any iPhone introduction) seems to be a bigger deal that that, and this one seems like it will be bigger than most of those.

Microsoft spent Millions on the XBOX introduction party.
A countdown clock cost Apple how much?

I'm sorry you disagree with me? They've never had a countdown for a keynote and the iPhone garners much more hype than an xbox.

And yet spending millions doesn't end up generating more buzz or interest when there's enough of a following to begin with without the need for those extra marketing millions. The countdown clock isn't something to bring more people, it's something to potentially imply that the announcement will be bigger than usual, which can potentially attract even more people than usual (and, as mentioned before, tons of people are already attracted even when it's just a usual type of announcement).

Can anyone confirm if the live stream (through apple.com) will work on a windows based PC with Quicktime 7 installed ?
I don't really want to rely on those 3rd party streams.

Or any other way to make it work on windows PC ?

Perhaps, but probably nothing to count on really, even if it's something to try.

Other than that, it's using 3rd party streams/coverage.

You can't

I read somwhere that in windows you cant watch WWDC but maybe it's not true.
