That is not what was on the apple site when following the link.

Verbatim from Apple's site:

http://www.apple.com/live/
"Live streaming video requires Safari 5.1.10 or later on OS X v10.6.8 or later; Safari on iOS 6.0 or later. Streaming via Apple TV requires second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 6.2 or later."

Where are you seeing where it says different

the whole lot more line is interesting. However, the line " Join us at Apple.com on September 9 at 10 a.m. PDT to follow every moment." is more indicative of an iWatch-type device announcement. "every moment"

no where.....

I stand corrected and should have scrolled down before speaking

I watch this keynote live.

Sorry had to do it. A normal 2 hours, so:
Start with the usual number game. Launch iOS 8 and Go ahead with the iPhone. Throw in a one more thing ("more" is the keyword in the announcements). First a iOS 8 and Yosemite "OMT". Apple search and payment system.

from safari you can now use: search.apple.com and maps.apple.com
Search is like bing, yahoo and google. But with a different approach. I mean: Siri and spotlight are using out of the system search. So why not have your own. (Dropped the search idea two years ago and still waiting for it to come up on the keynote).

And followed by the hardware "OMT": iBand (Personally I don't want a watch, so hoping for a band/bracelet. Lets say the eMbrace )
Smart band. Even the Razer Nabu is still not available. They might be waiting for the same.

Anticipation Rises

4 more days!

but an event such as this really needs to be a shared experience.

What? No.. Wait, seriously, WHAT?

It's a press release where some geezer tells a bunch of annoying bloggers that we have new **** for you to buy.

Please note that the stream can only be viewed using Apple devices, you cannot use other devices to watch it!
For other platforms, please watch LTKTV Stream in USTREAM site. LTKTV's stream is same than Apple's stream, though it can be viwed with more devices.

4 more days!

And I think that once you revisit this page after the event, the 4 sets of zeros will be replaced with...

iOS 8 - iPhone 6 (4.7") - iPhone 6 (5.5") - (and one more thing*) iWatch

That's your "whole lot more".

* or Schiller could build it up with "Have you ever wondered what this is for?" as he gestures to his left wrist by using his right hand in rolling motion around his left wrist. Then gently pulling his sleeve back for the big reveal.

Now that TechTV is gone... anyone know if the Keynote will be on actual TV anywhere? I know sometimes CNBC will get in for a few minutes at a time.

I'm sure CNBC will be talking about it all afternoon but I doubt they'll have any live video from inside.

For better or worse, this will be known as The Day Apple Changed....

FOREVER

I expect to be amused but not particularly amazed (thank you leaks!). Hopefully, Apple accepts this challenge.

I will be ready, with my wallet.

You are the kind of person that causes large companies to turn to crap. No matter what they release, as long as it's got an Apple logo on it, you'll blindly hand over your money. That is one of the reasons Microsoft and Nokia fell apart. Assuming punters will pay up just because they always have. Where are they now?

Expect and demand better.

Apple has been doing just fine with a lot of that already going on for years.

Just had a thought...given the location chosen for the event. I wonder if Apple might reveal a video of Steve Jobs posthumously recorded before his passing where he gives his personal take on these new product initiatives Apple is venturing into. A lot of them have been a long time in the making. It's possible, just maybe. I think the internet might explode if that happened ;)
