Kind of surprised they haven't added a 'channel' on the new Apple TV for these streamed events. I imagine it's capable of playing them, being iOS and all that.

Who wants the play the Mac Keynote drinking game? Everytime you hear the words; iOS, iPhone, or Magical you take a drink. When you hear "one more thing" you finish your glass.

need more to it. but it's a start.

Add "thin" and "thinnest" to that list

I feel a little impure for offering help to a Windows user :p, but you could watch the TWiT stream by Leo Laporte. I'm sure he'll be re-casting it. Though, you will get play-by-play from several people who host the Macbreak Weekly podcast.

I doubt he has permission to rebroadcast the feed. He was denied permission last time.

But there will be play-by-play commentary. I think he said on TWIT on Sunday that it will be him, Alex and Tom in the studio and Andy will be at the keynote.

I like how ONE person said they DISLIKE this, lol. How could you actually DISLIKE this? Apple is simply offering the option to view something live, they otherwise wouldn't be offering. So who was it? fess up lol.

The "like/dislike" buttons have been discussed to death here. I've so far read about two posts that give reasons why a text + photo based update would be preferred in some places (read: time zones and work environments) than a live video.

I'm GMT+3 so that doesn't put me off much.

Don't forget *BOOM!* If there's an iLife '11 demo, there'll be lots of *BOOM!*s. :D

I wondered about having permission, but I watched the stream from Apple last time, so I didn't actually witness whether Leo re-streamed it. I just presumed he did.

If there is a legal issue with re-streaming, Leo would be the first to honor the restrictions as a multi-format broadcast veteran.

"man, i don't want that option on apples website today!..." "....I was gonna go to Apples website, and now i'll have to be bombarded by the ability to watch a new event with new products being released...."
I pretty much agree. I mean how many other computer companies would give you an option of watching them giving you information on new products?

I mean imagine going onto Sony's website to buy a laptop and them giving you the option to watch them show you their new and better laptop they have coming out. It just doesn't happen. Itgives the average guy who won't know abut this event or new lineup's and was going to buy a Apple products now a fair chance on getting the latest tech instead.

It sucks to be working, oh well, Engadget Live Coverage, there I go...

I hope you mean that it sucks that you have to work during the keynote? If it sucks to be working you can't pay your bills so you buy Steve Jobs' lovely new products after today. :)

The previous streamed event and this one are conveniently broadcasted in my break in between classes, so I was able to watch it last time on my iPhone and will be able to do it this time as well.

I really enjoy watching it live, but I also really enjoyed keeping up with the text and photo updates when live streaming wasn't available. I would still watch the keynote once it was posted though, but I'm just saying that I still enjoyed the text updates. :)

If only I could stream this to my Apple TV.

If Airplay were live, you could do it right now.

If you have an iPhone or iPad or iPod touch, and the VGA adapter or Apple AV cable, you can also watch it on your Tv right now.

I think that most people who care about a Mac OSX event will have access to a Mac, iPhone, iPad, etc. This is less an egregious restriction than it was for an iPad/iPhone/iPod event, where there are a lot more Windows users who might be interested.
