Is there any way for poor saps at work on Windows 8 machines to watch this live? Any workaround the OS X / Safari restriction??:mad:

I'm on vacation in a hotel in Turkey and now I would like to know, why does Safari keep telling me I can't play any video from Apple.com?

I'm trying to watch via an iPad on iOS7, through Safari. All is see is a circle with a slash going through it, overtop of the play button...

Help???

Course, everyone is watching the Keynote....

EDIT: Must have been something with my company's Wi-FI, turned it off and it now working.

Never having watched one of these before, I have to say that the self-congratulatory video at the beginning made me want to send whoever made it a tub of vagisil.

Anyone else notice the guy working on the turbine in the iPad appreciation video was wearing gloves and happily swiping away on his iPad...?...I've never been able to us an iOS device with gloves.

OK, I'll just cut and paste what I previously said two hours from now. :D

Note that I'm not saying it's a bad product in any way, just that I'm getting bored with big marketing events for small scale upgrades. And come on, we ALL know exactly what's going to be announced already.

Really WE ALL KNEW it the new iPad would be called iPad AIR? YEAH.

You know you can replace the battery, right? That's a lot cheaper than a whole new laptop, and your 2008 machine will run Mavericks amazingly. I hope my 2007 MBP will run great on 10.9, too.

Agreed, Mavericks does run well. After the initial setup I didn't experience any slowdown relative to Lion, which was what I was previously using.

Yeah, I have enquired about changing the battery at an Apple Store. Might be worth it if I stick to web development, my primary use for this MacBook. I also to 3D model and do game development, which is where this MBP is struggling.
