Or at least we'll know what we'll get eventually. I'm still waiting for the promised push from last September. I'm almost a quarter of the way through my contract and my iPhone isn't living up to the expectation that Apple brought on with it's push theory.

Push will definitely be the biggest/covered feature in 3.0

Anyone think we were all wrong to assume the 24th event was going to be "PRO" or SL Software related? Surely there aren't two events coming up?

I have to assume the 24th was moved up to the 17th and was always going to be iPhone 3 software and just nobody figured it out.

Like last year, they'll preview 3.0, but it will likely be released in June along side a new iPhone.

I would REALLY like to see some form of battery health meter similar to iStat for a MBP. I've noticed my battery is draining more so than in the past.

Also, it seems the "shuffle" part of the iPod function plays some tunes more than others. It's not really random.

Next week's event is about software only--iPhone OS preview, probably OS X 10.6 preview, and other software. I doubt any new hardware will be introduced.

I would expect a new iPhone revision in June, but I have no idea if they'll do anything to it except bump the capacity.

I agree. They'll make the OS announcement now and release with a new phone in June (I hope). I'm still on the 1st gen phone, and I've been holding off until the next gen. Like a lot of others, I just want copy/paste, a better camera (video is nice, but I don't really care), and 32gb.
