I hope so, the quicker I can view videos on my iPod from my iMac the better!
That's been possible for over a year now. Never heard of an app called AirVideo?
Works over WiFi and 3G. Why would you need a Personal HotSpot for that?

Tethering sure complicates the purchase decision. Now I wonder if I want the 3G model or if I will just pay for tethering and get the option of using my iPad or my PC from work tethered. The only thing that would make me still go with 3G is if tethering via BT is really flaky or if there really is an actual GPS chip in the 3G model...nothing stated in any apple literature I can find...anyone on these two points?
Also, are there any GPS apps that can pull the GPS location from my iPhone into the iPad and display it on maps?
I have the same set up (unlocked iPhone from Apple with Tmobile SIM) and whilst I can access the tethering option, when I try and connect my laptop it diverts to a tmobile paywall - I suspect the hotspot app will do the same thing unfortunately.
Installed 4.3 on the iPad last night and realised just how big a jump it is in one area: Media playback.
* iTunes Home Sharing is an absolute godsend and works beautifuly. Instant access to your iTunes-based media library through any iOS device without any other setup or apps is a BIG jump forward, especially as all the DRM issues that have caused issues for third party apps don't apply. Anything streamed to your iOS device can also be sent to AppleTV via AirPlay
* AirPlay for third party apps and web videos is another big jump forward. Obviously this depends on how far you've bought into the Apple ecosystem but is you've got an AppleTV setup you now have a really simple way of playing your media anywhere you want. Between Home Sharing and Air Video there's now nothing anywhere in my media collection I can't play on iOS or send straight to the TV via AirPlay.
Those two taken together finally give a simple, almost zero configuration, way of accessing media through the home and playing it on pretty much any screen you want. I've also got a sneaky feeling that this is the first step to sharing your home iTunes library via MobileMe as it'd tie in perfectly with what they've now got.
Im a little confused with apples implementation of tethering (why cant they make it simple?)
So iOS 4.3 can tether devices via wifi, which is fine, but the US providers make it complicated by asking you to pay extra for the tethering? How do they stop you, is the option greyed out until you pay or something?
I am in the UK using an unlocked iPhone on T-Mobile UK so I am hoping this just works over here without any faff! 3 devices are plenty IMO, any more and your internet speed would crawl along, surely?
Save for the Safari enhancement it's been a really boring update for me. I can't use Personal Hotspot because my carrier is cockblocking and wants to rape me for more charges to use it. I don't use iTunes for Airplay/Airtunes/Home Sharing or anything of the sort.
Still love my iPhone 4 though.

What about the update to Mobile Safari?

Carriers see the iPhone as a Goldmine, and now try to exploit every single opportunity to make money, taxing every feature the users allow them to tax.

Undocumented change: Faster load time for camera? (I hope)
The carriers hand over a lot of cash to Apple when they subsidise the iPhone. That money has to come from somewhere.
Still boring.....I use Atomic browser.
I can't stand the way Safari switches between pages instead of tabbed browsing. It's so slow.
