Found it interesting that Magic Mouse 2 and apple trackpad no longer works on iPad OS

Clearly a sign....

Might as well get a laptop instead of this.

There's a difference between getting a pickup truck that can be your daily driver but also carry stuff when you need to versus getting an 18 wheeler that is primarily used for carrying stuff but would totally suck as your daily driver to take your family out to the movies.

I use my iPad Pro as my primary computer. 95% of the time, it's used as a tablet, most of that time in portrait mode. On occasion I write long form and while I've gotten used to using the virtual keyboard, it would be nice in these instances to flip out a keyboard with its own perpendicular touchpad so that I don't have to reach out and touch the screen while typing.

Interesting; people can't shut up about wanting a headphone jack in iPhones... a headless iMac... a MacBook with a proper keyboard... etc.

Why hasn't Apple bothered with any of those things?
No, YOU are the only one pining for a headphone jack in iPhones. The rest of us have moved on.

I don’t exactly about all of it, maybe an iMac-like 5k Thunderbolt Display (not an iMac without the monitor, that’s what I got about headless iMac).
For what is worth I have been using wireless everything since several years now, headphones, keyboard, etc (except mouse for some tasks... Magic Mouse/trackpad for browsing, normal lighter wired mouse for work tasks) and actually I’m in between a new iMac or a new MBP 16” and the iMac is winning because when taking into account the 5K screen (and the trackpad, full keyboard, etc) it actually becomes a good deal contender if portability is not really that much of a priority. Something they are doing right.
