Agreed. Not to mention, the sourced articles usually have more information. What's the deal with MacRumors no longer including links to the source news article (from Bloomberg in this case)? That's annoying and kind of sleazy.

So if this is true, iPhone 5S should launch at the same time as the 5C. Can't imagine Apple hosting another event between these two.
Thank you Bob. I knew you could figure out how to fit a Retina display into a mini!![]()
I just hope the new iPad has significant aesthetic changes.
Really hoping the new Mini has Retina. Then I can sell off my 3rd-Gen iPad, (aka, The Bastard Child iPad) and get a Mini.
Just curious, other than the high resolution screen(which hopefully Mini gets now), what else is so tempting for you to switch? I understand there's a decent price advantage for the Nexus but do you not find the narrow, long screen awkward? I've only held my co-workers for a minute so admittedly I didn't give it a good go but the shape just didn't feel right. That plus the cheap(I'm maybe the minority, I'm sure lots of people love the grippy back) back of the tablet and the ridiculous bezels just make it not that sexy for me. Mini on the other hand, pick that up and your in tech heaven. Just feels so nice.
Not strange at all. It's actually the opposite. It's strange to go to a full size iPad now after using a Mini. Why? Because the Mini is just such a joy to hold in my opinion. It feels good in the hand and it's especially amazing for longer periods of using it. To me it's that sweet spot of the perfect size. Kind of like how I assume most people think 13" is the perfect Macbook size, yes some people want 11 or 15 but 13 I think is the most popular for a reason, it's the sweet spot.
I have the iPad3 and was certainly going to get a retina mini, but using the iPad this morning, I was thinking how it would be if the width was less and little bit less weight, and it keeps the same screen real estate - going to be a tough decision...
The mini is more popular because it is cheaper, just like how the 13" is more popular because it is cheaper.
My wallet is ready. Retina Mini=instant buy.
Do you folks think that holding the large iPad with thinner bezels - despite the lesser weight - would make holding the tablet a little uncomfortable (particularly in portrait mode)?
Two reasons I ask this - (1) because I intend to use the iPad for extensive reading sessions when I am traveling and/ or commuting, and (2) because I need an iPad and was planning to buy one tomorrow - yes, literally tomorrow - but am hesitating because of all this news about a lighter full-sized iPad!
I'm honestly not even a fan of the mini. I'm actually kind of disappointed the full sized iPad is taking after te mini.
The mini feels too light/fragile.
If you need it, buy it tomorrow and try it out. Only after your own personal experience with the current one will you know what it is like to hold and handle. Return it if it makes you wonder and care about the new one which means it did not totally hit a homer for you.
