I wish they would have put the A14X or M1 chip in side the apple TV that would have been a major upgrade from the A10X but the A12 is still a nic upgrade has well

Get the 4K version not this 1080p, even if you don’t have a 4K

this old 1080p Apple TV should be $100 or less , I don’t understand the pricing here so close together $150 $179 $199
oh crap, didn't even realize what this article was about :))) for sure — i wouldn't get an old version)

Sell the remote separately and you have a buyer.

edit: I guess you can for $59. Assuming it works on previous gens?

yep. Im buying like 4 of them lol

The remote looks like some knock off copy
It’s horrendous
I really don’t see why there is the hatred for the current remote
This new one is so bloody ugly

Exactly. And its been this case for a few years now.

First off, why do we need 2 models with a $20 price difference, for a storage option on a product that has no user facing option to manage storage?

Secondly, the older 1080p TV for $30 less. Do we really need 3 products that all essentially do the same thing?

Of all product lines that truly could be simplified...

I will be ordering on Day 1 along with an extra remote, if it will work with the current ATV 4K

Not seeing any hints on spatial audio compatibility for this new Apple TV... would have liked to see that

The new remote takes style cues from the AppleTV 3 remote. I preferred the black look of the ATV 4 remote, but honestly, I don't think I care that much either way. I need 2 more ATVs for the house and was holding off buying them because I suspected new ones were around the corner. I am glad I waited 😁

Well, at least this means my Apple TV will still get tvOS updates for a while more
