What happens if you're already an iTunes Match user? Don't expect anyone to know, but that question is the first thing that popped into my mind.

From 9 to 5 Mac and TechCrunch.

I'd feel more confident if it were more Bloomberg and Wall Street Journal. That being said, I didn't check the sources for 9/5 and Tech if any were listed.

Apparently it's a 9 to 5 Mac exclusive and Mark Gurman is pretty well connected.
Much better than say...analysts Ming-Chi Kuo or Gene Munster.

time to retitle this site, "According to 9to5Mac."
The main point is MR always says "this or that WILL happen." They are claiming that they can predict the future. And refuse to accept the fact that only APPLE can confirm anything. MR need to say "this is rumoured to happen" or "this is very plausible to happen" or similar. It's a minor difference but it's an attitude I dislike from the MacRumor staff/writers.

Also Bloomberg is NOT Apple.

Ever notice that a high percentage of Apple's "services" are always revamped or even nuked out of existence? And let's not forget how long Siri has been in "beta" in the fine print in 1point font

Yeah, me too. Apple...stick with PRODUCTS.

Tv

Yes, I TV update would be great. I'd quickly ditch the Chromecast that I've got in my workout room.

How will this be different then iTunes Radio?

1. We'll pay for it and spin it like it's a bargain.
2. It will help rationalize why Apple spent $3B on Beats beyond "buying" 2 guys
3. Those of us without unlimited* will get to spend more on cellular service as we accidentally roll into higher tiers more often
4. We'll spin it as another dose of Apple brilliance and why everyone should own iPhones. Then, someone will remind those spinning that this app is also available to the Android crowd. We'll call them trolls and then try to change the subject: "but who makes the most profitable smart phone?" and similar

Did I miss anything?

All ;)

Everybody's all hyped about this watch, but all I really want is an updated Apple TV.

you and me both!

And me too. IMO, THIS is the most exciting Apple rumor flying around now... better than a port-starved-but-"thinner" Air, a gigantic iPad or a Watch in search of a (masses) "must have" point. I hope Apple is very serious about the little box with the "4".

i know its not so relevant but
  1. this should be global, or at least canada and europe
  2. they need to have an itunes video members like amazon prime. i.e. 10.99 a month gets you the latest episodes of shows within 24 hours of release
:apple::apple::apple:

So will the music app be completely revamped and improved or will it just be a tacked on feature a la iTunes radio?

The music app in iOS 7/8 is god awful.

In what way is the music app different in iOS 7/8 compared with previous versions of iOS?

I'd like to see something. My kids are asking for paid music streaming, now. Spotify's family plan price isn't exactly blowing my skirt up.

I would actually accept a mild price increase on iTunes Match if they did away with the song limit and threw in Beats (scratch) iTunes Radio (scratch) Appl-ify streaming.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. MacRumours don't write nothing themselves, everything is sourced. That's why 9to5mac and Cult of Mac for example are far better because they actually write their own content.

Hey! Woah woah woah. What's this $7.99 ****? Charge android users not iOS users!

Need to get that $3 billion back somehow...

Anyone know what the deal is with simply republishing someone else's work?

Could I start a webiste called 9to5macengadgetmacrumors.com and simply republish everything all those websites publish?

Or does Macrumors pay 9to5mac and all the others it 'reports' on?

iTunes Radio sucks..... No need to wait for it :D

They have no clue what music I like..... I give a list of artists for a station and get horrible music selections returned. Also the way to like & not like music is not very user friendly. Pandora works way better for me.

So do you think this new service will be any better?
