I need to finally settle on SOME streaming service.

It must include the Beatles.

I actually always Apple would allow anyone to stream your music...

That's how I originally thought of Match.

Looks like that dream is coming true :D Now, my only question is, how well will it work..

Well, see how this goes but at least there will be a lot of choices. AccuRadio is one my favorite radio streaming services and they play Beatles, Zeppelin, etc.

This space is getting crowded, that's for sure. Apple is going to have to really do something special here to make this a true success. IMO. Having beats tied to it doesn't mean a damned thing and could be viewed as a negative.

Too little, too late.

I have cancelled Beats and moved on to Google Play Music and can't be happier.

The Google music library and capabilities are similar to what MOG used to be, before Beats bought it for $15 million, ruined it and then sold it to Apple, as part of the sale of the past-its prime headphone business.

I'll never understand why Apple bought Beats for $3BN, but hey, it's dumb investor money and Cook and the bankers get their cut either way.

But I am personally done with Apple's lame streaming attempts.

BTW, with Google Music you also get access to the Premium YouTube video library of each artist, with which Apple is going to have a hard time competing.

Oh, look, another foreigner complaining about a US company meeting the needs of the US market first.

Another American complaining about "some other place out there" thinking they should be part of a GLOBAL company that parades it's wares in front of the world saying "hey look at our great new service that we won't be giving to you"

You think the US NEEDS iTunes Radio? Apple needs people to pay for the damn service so offering to a merger few uptakers in the US alone is not what it needs.

It's been 18 months since it's launch. this has gone way beyond the needs of one country.

Oh and Apple without the rest of the world would be paying 10's of billions to the government and most likely not be where it is today without us, so sorry if the world outside your world has something to say.

By all accounts iTunes Radio is pants anyway. I just wanted to have my say. Hey look at that, a Johnny Foreigner made a rhyme. Me right english good.

So it's cool if European companies decide to deprive US customers of features and products? Cool, I'll see if the German car manufacturers and French pharmaceutical giants will fulfil your request.

Actually there are plenty of European things that are European only first, ever hear of spotify?

If it's a lossless HiFi streaming service, I'd be the first to say goodbye to Tidal, even if apple charges 20$/month but it won't be. Apple has a history of disappointing.

This is just silly. It has nothing to do with Apple, but with geographic content restrictions. This was the reason why Spotify was not available in the US for a long while.

As far as German cars and French manufacturers, there are plenty of auto models and drugs that don't make it to different geographic locations, for various, mostly regulatory reasons.

Although German car makers generally try to keep their luxury status (and corresponding price premium) in the US, and don't try to compete with the Asian car makers at the lower end, so Americans don't get the opportunity to purchase many of the more basic, cheaper models available in Europe.

But the griping on both sides should be more appropriately directed, in this case, at the content providers.

Hate to tell you, but virtually all proper ABX tests I've seen show that listeners cannot reliably tell the difference between lossless and high bit rate lossy (like 320) compression.

I know that there is a lot of BS in the HiFi world, but double-blind tests are what they are....

Spotify wasn't lauded in front of the world on a world wide stream on a single event that the world was invited to watch

Hey I'm fine with not everything be shared on day one. Of course Apple will be able to do certain things in the US first

But 18 months for a service that is not in any way a threat to record labels is a joke.

At this rate Samsung Pay will make Apple Pay look like monopoly money in 'urp. That in turn will make Apple look stupid and full of $**t.

In short delays or even non appearances of such publicly advertised services that don't make it into such a huge market that Android dominates hurts Apples image.

Oh, look, another US-only feature.

I hope, hope, hope that they've wised up and will release it internationally to everyone. But based on how iTunes Radio has gone, I'm don't have much faith. I know... licensing issues... but it just feels like they get distracted by the next great thing and forget about those of us outside US borders (except China, of course, which seems to have their eyes filled with dollar signs).

High fidelity audio + streaming everything is a match made in AT&T, Verizion, etc heaven. Burn that bandwidth baby, burn it! Fees for rolling into higher tiers? Who cares? "The future is the cloud"

In using TIDAL right now, its actually as not as bad as you would think. Does it use significantly more data? Sure, but has it cost me more money?

Surprisingly, no.

i was gonna give Spotify another go, but thought i'd wait to see where this goes with Apple first..

The only bad part i hate about these services is not just one service has everything, u have to have multiple.... and even if u can kind allot through just one or more (combined), there is always something that's lacking...

eg.. Spotify lacks allot of Trance/Dance, and mainly has allot of classical etc... which i have no interest in. (mainly missing remixes/mixes etc) is probably prone to any service.

This is what prevented me from using these in the past. not sure if any of them are better today.

Heh, I always thought Spotify bulks up its library with covers and lame remixes, so it's sort of the "elevator music" streaming service. Spotify's Classical section is also much of the same quality.

Do try Google Play Music, or wait to see what Beats becomes, since Beats inherited the MOG library, which was better than anything else out there, and way better than Spotify.

But if you are mainly after remixes, why not use the free stuff, like soundcloud, mixcloud, mixcrate and di....

And it's "a lot." Not a lot of time allotted to spelling in your school, eh? :p

While Spotify may lack alot of trance/dance it still has the most extensive EDM library of all the streaming services

Also I hope Apple makes Beats $5. That would really hurt its competitors and make it a go to for many people even those on Android. I currently pay $5 a month for Spotify with a student discount and it is the best $5 i spend every month.

Did Apple send you an email inviting you to watch? No they didn't. You can watch if you want but no one ever invited you to.

Japan's electronic companies, Sony, Nintendo, etc, usually release products in Japan first before they ever hit the US. There are plenty of companies that launch things in their home countries that never even make it to the US or take quite a wall. Topshop, Ikea, etc.

Dang I didn't realize how upsetting it was. You want apologies in Apple's stead?

I got an email invite to watch the Apple Pay launch, and I'm still waiting for it to launch here in Germany.

But do these companies stream their product launches worldwide and insinuate that their "revolutionary" product will be available for everyone? And my issue was with a previous post where the authors statement sounds elitist based purely on their geographic location, which apparently entitles one to permanent preferred or even exclusive access to products and services.

So I guess after the iPad Pro, Retina Mac Book Air and the revamped Beats-streaming service already being pushed to some time later this year the apple watch will be next ... srsly, everything you rumored during the last 2(?) days is suddenly postponed. Whats wrong with your sources?

I'd rather have it postponed than have it rushed out and end up Maps 2.0...

For $7.99/month I would seriously give it a thought.
$4.99/month would be a slam dunk though.

Here in the UK, Spotify Premium is £10 ($16?) per month.

I use it, but I bough some cheap codes from eBay, that worked out to £36 for the year.

I love spotify, but I do hope Apple can increase competition, as that can only be good for everyone.

I use Google Play Music and it is good for me. It is interesting I chose Google Play music because it was the one service which best integrated my existing iTunes library. Also Google does offer some really good free albums that you can own.

I also own a a Sonos system. If they don't integrate with that it is a non-starter for me. Though Beats does so I would see why they wouldn't port that over into the new service. Better is what is going to sell me not cheaper.
