I'll keep you posted if I get an early delivery, like the person did with there iPhone 6s haha
I had to cancel my order twice before I settled on the right order (first, had the wrong card, second, had the wrong shipping address) so yeah.

Jelly, definitely keep us posted, see you are in the UK, would be great for US orders to start moving as well :) I know we are still all on day of pre-order but getting these sooner would be great :)
What did you go with in the end?

I ultimately ended up deciding to ship it to my work instead of my parents' house and using my debit card because my credit card has been super paranoid lately. Lol. But, I went with the 64GB. I have like 63 movies on iTunes and more is better and safer. My parents are getting the 32GB and I don't want them taking my 64GB lol.

just came to the realization that the ATV4 does not include an HDMI cable....had to order that and threw in a remote loop for the hell of it. Apple just managed to squeeze another 47 bucks out of me.

Ouch! Why not just order an HDMI cable from Amazon? The $5 Amazon Basics HDMI cable is likely just as good (if not better) than the Apple cable.

I was looking at the amazon cables but didn't notice the one you've mentioned. I'll give it a look. Thanks.

edit - just cancelled the $28 apple 6ft hdmi cable and picked up a 3ft amazon basics cable for $12 CAD including shipping. Not bad.

I actually really like the Apple HDMI cables; I've had issues with the cheap ones, and I'd never buy Monster or other overpriced ones, but the Apple ones work well, they're thin, and the price isn't the worst...

Gold plated braided Monster cables - Anything else will cause issues and not give you the pristine crystal clear high definition source signal.

I'll give the amazon cable a try. Worst case I'll secretly swap it with the apple HDMI cable being used for my bedroom apple tv 3 (the apple tv my girlfriend mostly uses) lololol

Does AppleCare usually? I thought it was at the discretion of Apple to cover that.
iOS devices yes OS X devices no.

A replacement remote is around $75 and it technically runs iOS.

Idk. I've got over six Apple Tv's in the family and Never an issue. Then again those remotes were indestructible but easy to misplace.

The new remote costs more to replace than it costs to buy a new 3rd gen Apple TV.

Just surprised because how many people have had an Apple TV that died outside of a surge and outside of accidental damage. Just thinking what's the point if it doesn't cover accidental.

I kinda want to buy a second remote anyway, the way my family is with remotes.

In the future also keep in mind Monoprice. They are a great source of really inexpensive cables. I purchase 24AWG high speed HDMI cables from them (they now call them "Commercial Series Premium"). They have gold connectors with a braided metal sheath, 6 feet for $6.79, and I have never had an issue (unlike a lot of cables I have paid a lot more for).
