Yes I am in the same boat. But why do they have option for fastest delivery for $19 to get on Friday on launch day. If someone paid for fastest shipping and people like us with standard shipping get the order on same date wouldn't the people who paid extra will get upset?

They did the same thing with the iPhone 5s, but it was only $10 that time. I paid the expedited shipping that time and still got it on the same day that everyone else did with the standard free shipping, so I said to myself then that I'd never pay to expedite a launch item from them ever again.
 
I wonder whether or not these will be shipping directly from China or whether they will just be shipped in bulk to local depots and then shipped from there. If shipped from a local depot, Apple could technically ship these on Thursday for Friday delivery.

I hope same thing happen again, Apple can refund shipping who complain I guess.

Same here. I didn't complain or ask for a refund that time though because they also next day shipped the 5s leather case I had in the same order. If I had chosen standard shipping, I would have received the phone on a Friday, but the case wouldn't have arrived until the following Tuesday.
 
Mine just changed to Preparing for Shipment! :) USA - North Carolina - ordered at 9 AM Eastern yesterday morning

This is true. I wish I would've known about a survey tho. It took me months to find the right channel on my AirPort Extreme !!

I hope it ships by tomorrow . Cause it shows free 2 business day shipping now which would put it on pace for Friday delivery .
 
I ordered at 10:13 yesterday morning and mine just went to preparing as well. 32gb model
 
Mine changed also to preparing for shipment and I have the longest delivery estimate of nov 5-9. Usually I get things in couple days from Apple so I'm hoping to get it earlier.
 
My 32gb just went to PFS as well. I paid for overnight by noon delivery. Sure looks like it didn't matter which shipping method you selected, but time will tell.

I ordered at 7:30am Monday.

Just hope it comes Friday, looks on track.
