We just use Pluto ... the old school way of bathroom/drink/snack breaks when they do ADs.

It's free and has loads of great content, especially older TV and movies.

Love it!!

I've been watching Pluto TV for years. I haven't found a free app that offers better content yet.
Same here, but Pluto has just about jumped the shark with so many ads. It used to not have as many ads and not so often, now it's gotten as bad as regular cable. Actually worse at times because sometimes it pummels you with the same ad every 10 minutes... there's specifically two for podcasts that I keep the mute button close for. Once they ran an ad seven times in a row, paused, then ran it three more times! It was like Chinese water torture!

but, yeah, Pluto definitely helped make cutting the cord less painful.

Is this an Apple TV channels thing where you watch Peacock in the ATV app or do you use the Peacock app?

Is there anything good on Apple TV besides Severance? Please don't say The Morning Show or Ted Lasso. Tried a few episodes of Chief of War but it's mediocre at best and works as a sleeping aid.
Foundation is great. 👍🏻

So am i missing somethimg. Its says you can watch the first 3 episodes? What goid is that!

This is so “not Apple”
What Apple should do, is to create a “TV+” service which lets you watch literally everything from any platform with a higher price than any of the platforms alone.
They could then distribute the revenue to the platforms according to the watch times.

They had a chance to revolutionize the industry like how ipod did for music
Technically Apple already has the library, (their Movie & TV Store), and it’s massive. They would just need the rights, which I’m guessing would be quite difficult.

It would be an awesome (and very pricy) service though.

I’d be curious what people would be willing to pay for unlimited access to Apple’s Movie & TV store library.

I love that the Android phone on the page is an HTC One. Great phone with a great design, that I unfortunately never got to own.
If you look around, you might find a really good deal now. 🤨😁

ATV + Premium actually seems like a pretty good deal. $15/mo+tax gets you Apple TV plus all Premier League matches. That’s what I pay now for Disney+/ESPN Select which only gets me Bundesliga (German) and La Liga (Spanish).

I’d consider switching for sure.

Here’s hoping something similar could happen in the UK with Now.

Its pretty much the UK’s Peacock and owned by NBCU.

Would offer another TV Partner like EE have had for a while.

I am open to somewhere around 69.99 like YouTube TV if Apple have something

That’s the “sampling” for Peacock subscribers who don’t have an Apple TV subscription, and vice versa. If you have the bundle, you can, of course, watch everything.

it's only USA. And the rest of the world?

I love that you can stream Apple TV despite using a VPN. No other streaming provider offers this. Is this also possible with Peacock using a VPN?

I haven’t math’d it, but I always buy Peacock during the BF sale of $20/year and then just pay for ad-free monthly which is like $7/month? I’m already subscribed to Apple One so I’m not sure if this makes any sense for me. Or does it? How much is it to add Peacock to your existing Apple One plan?

I never thought I'd say it but I miss cable tv. If someone came out with a service that had all the linear channels and all the streaming services under one app that you could just surf with a remote, they'd make a lot of money lol.

Good to see some savings with the bundled plan especially with streaming services becoming costlier.

I'm just happy to see that finally an ad-free tier is included in a promo. It's almost always the basic/ad-tiers with no way of adding on ad-free or a discounted upgrade.

AAPL’s MLB announcers leave much to be disired since the inception (vid/graphics good) + haven’t watched their drama content since Masters of the Air.

That said w/ AAPL’s 2026 F1 addition no choice now but wish they would’ve bundled Paramount+ (Lioness Landman etc) rather than Pcock.

I alresdy have Apple One plus all the stremaing apps. But I purchase the ad free subscriptions. If premium is not the ad free one, then I’ll leave my peacock subscription as it is.

Has anyone figured out how to do this if you already have Apple One and a Peacock subscription?
Nope. To anyone having trouble linking the Apple One discounted subscription with Peacock, be aware that the problem is on Apple's end. It's a known issue, and they are investigating. Hopefully, it's just a server-side problem that can be fixed soon.

FYI: These were the error messages I received within the Peacock app: "You already have a Peacock account managed by this Apple ID. Are you logged in to the right Peacock account?" and "We couldn't activate your subscription. Try again or contact."

Some people on Reddit are saying they cancelled their subscription and then renewed it right away. That allowed them to pick the new plan and keep their history and profiles.
