This show is surprisingly great. I watched it on a whim, like many others here, and I can't turn it off. I'm just about to finish the season finale, and I'm so glad there's a second season.
I was hoping someone would provide a little commentary on the political portrayal in the show? In the 80's was San Diego mostly voting republican, and it was some sort of hurdle to get *the youth* to vote democrat? Also, I am really glad that they didn't portray the show's republicans as evil villains like most shows would these days. it's refreshing to see a little humanity for both sides for a change.
