And this, ladies and gents, is what it looks like from behind...a Velcro'd atrocity 🤮

I don't understand the "why" of it all. It makes no sense seeing as the Apple TV app is already available on iPad.

AppleTV app and AppleTV hardware are as insanely different as iPhone Phone app and iPhone. One does a very narrow little group of things. The other runs a wide variety of apps with all kinds of utility and entertainment.

That's cool. I could see some use in that if you fly a lot or just use it for entertainment (which I do). But beware of incoming apple lawsuit :p

Went through the whole article wondering where he got that inverted Magic Keyboard - it is covered at the very end. He bought both and did a key swap.

Yup me too. At the very least he proved to me what I was thinking about the new MK on release. The silver/white variant would have look WAY better with black keys.

Fair enough. People are free to waste their time and money any way they want within the law. It think what most people here, me included, are wondering is what does this do that an iPad isn’t already capable of without the mod. I might be able to get the why of it all if I could understand that but of missing info.

Are there any apps that the Apple TV has that the iPad doesn’t have? I’ve never had an issue finding a streaming app for my iPad. Just wondering what the iPad is missing that the Apple TV has.

I heard that apparently this guy also keeps his perishable food cold by sticking copper pipes and plastic tubing filled with liquid nitrogen into the food rather than simply using a refrigerator.

Can't see any utility in this FrankenPod that isn't already available without an engineering degree. It may lead to something more useful, but in its current state, who even wants it?

But new ideas often start like this.
