Can’t wait for ‘Foundation”. Apple’s service is the only one without huge back catalogue, they are starting from scratch which is ambitious and impressive. Considering their unlimited financial resources and patience, I have no doubt of Apple TV+ bright future.

If Apple is patient, I think Apple TV+ will get there. Though I really think they should have gone after MGM. I really think that could have provided a huge boost to the service.

I don’t know, maybe I don’t have a sense of humor but I just don’t get Ted Lasso. I watched an entire season and didn’t laugh once.

Mythic Quest OTOH, I think is brilliant.
Same here regarding Ted Lasso. I'm not a fan of any of the "Humor" shows on ATV+. For All Mankind is the best thing IMO. I want more shows like that.

I’m sorry but Google kicks Apples behind when it comes to services. Yes I know there is the whole data collection thing. Millions use Android and love it, I use iOS but continue to favor Googles services over Apple.

Most likely because there's someone else taking a picture at the same time from that angle. The photographer taking this picture should have re-taken it instead of publishing. It's not like he/she needed to develop film to discover it wasn't a good shot.
Yeah, this is a horrible picture.

Jennifer Aniston's hair is full of fly-aways. That could have easily been fixed:

And Tim Cook couldn't manage to produce a decent smile? He looks like he's constipated!

And I can still hardly find anything I want to watch besides Ted Lasso
I don’t think anyone’s going to like ALL Apple’s shows (or, I haven’t noted anyone here posting they like them all), but a million viewers of one show and a million of another… once they have paying subscribers is till a pretty decent amount of money.

That picture sums up everything wrong with Tim Cook's Apple.
The more I think about it, the more you're right.

Apple's problem is their culture. Under Steve Jobs, they wanted to be at the intersection of Technology and Humanities.

Under Tim Cook, it seems like we've swapped that to Expensive and Entertainment. They're willing to do Expensive - they bought Beats and they're buying their way into TV, but the Entertainment is half-hearted. They're not willing to do anything remotely controversial. Instead they've got this awkward thing of "ok, I need to be with this actress in the picture, but I can't let a single soul think that anything at all is happening. There cannot be a single tabloid article about this picture."

Apple needs to do a reboot of “The Rockford Files” with an authentic Pontiac Firebird and Tommy Lee Jones as Jim Rockford.

If you haven’t already, check out Tiny World and The Earth at Night — both remarkable. These are pretty much the only programs I’ve watched on the service. If they released more programs like these, I would watch more — entertaining and educational. Plus, the only actor with an agent is the voice actor, so they should be much less costly to produce.

Found this other photo.

Notice Eddy Cue and his PRODUCT(PINK)™ pants making their public debut.

Tim Cook, on the red carpet. Tim Cook. On the red carpet. Tim… Cook… on the…

it seems like we've swapped that to Expensive
SWAPPED? I do not believe that Apple has ever NOT been expensive. And, regarding Entertainment, was that Tim Cook that helped to get Pixar started? Must have been because it’s all childish cartoony faire, nothing controversial at all.

Ted Lasso and Wolfwalkers were probably my favorite show and film on TV+. They have some good ideas, just not enough back catalog of good stuff. If I were Apple, I'd be trying to buy the rights to shows like the Orville

I also got my free 1-year Apple TV+ that came with new iPad. I browsed a bit.

I almost immediately cancel the service in order not having to remember to cancel it before auto-renew 1-year later.
