I find it amazing that only two folks have mentioned Brigadoon. I saw the title and had to read to story, to see how this might be connected to Brigadoon. But it's not a remake. I believe "reinvented" or "reboot" is the appropriate euphamism for remake currently.

I am sure this won't appeal to everyone. When I was a kid (over 60 years ago) my parents were members of an Operetta Club in Montclair NJ. Local live productions, usually two professional leads from NY and the rest of the cast were members of the club. Brigadoon was one of my favorite shows. Long before the movie version. I will give it a fair shake.

You would never see something like Breaking Bad or The Shield etc.. on Apple TV.

I think Apple is just targetting a niche demographic and making a profit on it.

Great casting. Kristin Chenoweth can star on Broadway but she's also great playing a supporting role in a comedy series. Anybody remember Pushing Daisies?
