The issue I have with the situation here is that, as many have pointed out these folks have the means to literally board a private aircraft and go anywhere on the PLANET for the absolute BEST help available.

Is it though? I've had some of the worst experiences with private doctors at some "recognised" clinics, whereas the state service and "free" services I have received are beyond anything money could have bought me.

Private clinics just want to draw as much money out of you and your insurance as possible.

My personal view is the health system in the US is the worst in the world. (I'm not saying the doctors are bad, I'm saying the health system is bad), but in the rest of the world where universal health care is available, you can obtain some of the best treatments available without the fear your doctor is just trying to make as much money is possible, so they care for your health.

Bottom line. Money is meaningless, so board all the private jets you like. It'll make no difference.

Share your perch of self righteousness for someone who hasn’t lived it.

To say “It literally could be…you, next” is such an absolutely horrible thing to say. Not just to anyone, but especially to anyone who has or is presently actually living through it, or has lived through it. I can’t even begin to explain it. To be the one who actually found a loved one who decided to do this to themselves, to know so many of my friends and colleagues who have, or have attempted suicide.

I’m just beside myself with how horribly tone deaf you are. I really hope someone in distress doesn’t read that. It’s just awful.

You're absolutely right. The inclusion of 'you' was a step too far. Having experienced depression in the last couple of years (which I have sought professioanl help for) I was exremely frustrated with what I was reading from people here. It's clear some needed a slap across the face with the harsh, brutal reality of what they are mocking. This is a REAL problem that people need to start taking seriously. So I do not apologise for the overall message in my post at all.

I certainly did not intend to cause distress or add to abuse I was calling out however. Please accept my apologies and I've edited the post accordingly.

It's always fun to listen to how hard life is for people who could literally afford to buy an entire mental health practice, let alone afford to see a therapist.
You know, on Wikipedia, there is a list of dozens of notable/rich/famous/successful people who have killed themselves in the last 20 years. And that list is JUST the relatively well known people who others might have heard of. There are obviously thousands of others who seemingly 'had it all' and still killed themselves.

I'm sure a mental health professional might clue you in on how many millions more have serious mental health issues, despite living an otherwise successful life.

What Prince Harry is doing here, could easily raise awareness and help to reduce the stigma so others can get help.

Is "Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex" even allowed to carry those titles anymore?
He is a prince by birth, he won't ever lose that. And he is the Duke of Sussex. Seems unlikely that he would have this title revoked. Heck the Duke of York was BFF with a pedophile and hasn't lost his title.

But Prince Harry has chosen to step away from senior royal duties so he won't be using H.R.H.

Harry and Meghan need to get away from their media managers.

there is an idea. If they want privacy, maybe they should stop giving interviews every other week? Just buy a house in Hawaii and be done with it.

„Boohoooo my life has been so hard … boohoo the media doesn’t like me … so I give them more reasons to write negative headlines about me“ the biggest joke was when they complained about having to pay for security on their own

This is one of the things tremendously wrong with AppleTV+; more like OprahTV....

It's full of her interviews and documentaries.

And this love story she is having with "the royals that don't want to be royals, but live out of their royalty titles" is getting exhausting. At least William, when he is talking about mental health in the UK, there's a clear solution for us; calling the NHS, which provide fantastic support.

Harry, is just trying to pay next week's security arrangements.

I know, I can not watch it (and I won't); but they could be investing into proper shows; making it more appealing.

Let’s be real honest here - we could dig it a lot more if Harry and Meghan did a special with Oprah on Porntube.

And like why don’t they offer adult entertainment on Apple TV?

Arguing that others have no right to talk about their mental health, because they could ‘easily afford a therapist‘ is the most shortsighted you can be. First, its not as if you just go to an expensive therapist, walk out the door, an BAM you’re feeling beter. Secondly, yeah its understandable to think their life is easier than yours, and in some ways that might be true. BUT having to work hard and therefore dealing with a lot of stress, isn’t necessarily the only cause of mental health problems.

Only people who have never had any level of wealth would think that life's problems magically vanish with success and wealth.

No, I'm not saying you should "cry" for the millionaires because they see their therapists one too many times.

But millions in the bank doesn't inoculate anyone from misfortunes or from the insanity that is life at large.

And just looking at this comment section, it's quite clear that those with even moderate success or wealth are either partially or completely demonised and scrutinised on every supposed or real parameter imaginable.

Once you're famous, 99.9% of all people either worship you like a God or wish death and destruction upon your existence. What kind of life is that where everyone has an opinion about you and think they know everything.

That's the price of fame, they say. But it still must suck.

Let's take a breather and try to not forget that both Oprah and Harry are still human beings and you can just not click their videos once they start pushing them on Apple TV+ and not read every little tidbit on the former royals and how they are doing everything wrong and how ungrateful and stupid they are, etc., etc..

Or at least save the hate for when you've actually watched their show.

In the words of Bill Burr, Oprah literally stood on the heads of little people to get where she is today, so I have no time for her.
Harry’s alright though, even if I think he invites all the media attention he so desperately wants to escape from sometimes. Heard through an old co-worker that he was a top bloke when in the military.

Oprah was born into into poverty in rural Mississippi to a single teenage mother and later raised in inner-city Milwaukee. She was sexually molested as a child and teen, and gave birth at age 14 to a premature baby who died in infancy. So, Bill Burr can go stuff his judgement about her choices on the path to success; and, unless Oprah was using dwarf crania as sandals, he apparently doesn't know how to use the word "literally". I can certainly understand why some people might empathize more with Harry's life challenges than Oprah's, though.

A show about mental health and every single comment is so hateful and negative. Never knew this forum was so disgusting.

I think the content of the matter is blown over our eyes or most of the commentary herein due to 'whom' is having this conversation, their wealth, and the access to necessary resources without ever having to deal with any resistance.

Many whom suffer mental illnesses have extreme challenges in a) identifying and classifying what their experiencing ~ first in actually discovering something may not be as it they feel should be or something off. b) dealing with daily or sometimes hourly ridicule, c) doubt from all those they love and hold close (I've had serious difficulty understanding this with someone I love going through this), d) finding the public resources to help in identifying, dealing with / coping, finding what will work with them (it's not a 1 size fits all with BPD for example) and e) NOT liking the pharmaceutical mediation which leaves them like mindless numb drones so many people try to self medicate.

The Awareness is nice to see - from my perspective, but it would go over a LOT more with a panel of people not wealthy or stars etc for such an interview. Also better to go through the resources in each many country (maybe that'll be shown ??).

The older generation of 'oh this famous person has it or going through it, helps me relate' is so passe it comes across as a con.

I have no problem with their personal wealth, to me that has absolutely nothing to do with mental health. Mental Health is indiscriminate. We all have our challenges and issues, and him being moderately richer than average has nothing to do with it.

What I do have a problem with is his public attitude, how he treats his family in public, but most of all the fact that in the last public interview with Oprah he and his wife told many lies. Can anyone trust anything that comes out of his, his wife's or Oprah's mouth...And for that reason, no thank you...I'm really not interested in him and his wife anymore, and I used to be a supporter of his and praised his stance. I found that very disappointing, I'd have thought there would be plenty of material to avoid having to resort to lies.
