As expected, Apple today introduced a bundle deal that allows Apple TV+ subscribers to subscribe to CBS All Access and Showtime for $9.99 per month combined. The bundle can be redeemed through the Apple TV app in the United States.

CBS All Access and Showtime usually cost $20.98 per month combined, so this bundle provides an over 50 percent discount.

CBS and Showtime are available through Apple TV Channels, a feature that lets Apple device users sign up for and watch various subscription television services right within the ‌Apple TV‌ app. Users still need to pay for the streaming services, but without the hassle of downloading an app and signing up separately.

Apple TV+ itself costs $4.99 per month.

What if I'm running Apple TV+ on a Roku? Can I have this option to open those channels within the AppleTV+ app on my roku?

I'm fairly certain you could. I've been able to do this from my LG TV's AppleTV+ app.

Interesting. However, CBSViacom really does not invest in a lot of original content unlike their competitors.

Hopefully this happens in the future.

IMO, there's not much on CBS, and Showtime is meh.
But with the Covid production shutdown, they had to add content somehow.

Ok, a bit confusing but looks like it’s an additional subscription if you’ve already subscribed to CBS or Showtime individually. Apple doesn’t warn that you’ll need to cancel your current subscription. Also, I can’t tell if the CBS bundle is the commercial free version or the cheaper version with ads.

CBS is only ad free on Apple TV channels.

it's the commercial free version. It says the cost without ATV+ is $20.98. $10.99 for Showtime and $9.99 for CBS ad-free.

If it's Apple TV, CBS All Access, and Showtime for that price, then that's a good deal.

As for commercials, when I play on my MBP with ad blocker on, there are no commercials. Not sure why that works, but it does.

So if I’m already paying for CBS All Access how do I unlock this bundle?

I just clicked on Showtime and it showed me the offer, then I canceled CBS standalone subscription.

It’s a separate app Black with CBS All Access over Showtime. But independent apps seem to recognize the subscription.

So what about if I want to download each app separately CBS and Showtime, will I be able to log in?
I did Restore Purchase and it didn't work or this is just accessed through AppleTV+ app?

So you can sign into the CBS app but not showtime; their help pages specifically say your Apple TV info won’t get you into the app.

I get hbo Max, showtime, TMC, STARZ, and STARZ encore for $15 month total through spectrum (internet and steaming, not cable) for two years. No thanks.
