Does Apple still give you a year of Apple TV+ with purchase of an iPhone or did that expire?

Is this a limited time or introductory deal? I have CBS (no commercials) and appleTV+, but not showtime. I'm not that interested in Showtime, but for this deal is the same price as what I'm paying now, so Showtime is effectively free. If it stays that way, i'll go for it, but not if it's an introductory deal that will increase in price after a year or something.

I cannot see a way to adding it to existing Apple TV+ subscription. Does anyone figure it out?

CBS and Showtime are available through Apple TV Channels, a feature that lets Apple device users sign up for and watch various subscription television services right within the ‌Apple TV‌ app. Users still need to pay for the streaming services, but without the hassle of downloading an app and signing up separately.
Sorry if for being dense, but this wording confuses me. What does "Users still need two pay for the streaming services" mean? Does the bundle pay for them or not?

Maybe someone will come up with the idea to bundle even more providers. Maybe they can be called “channels.” Why does cutting the cord feel like we’re circling back to the past?

You have to be subscribed to the Apple TV Plus sub. $4.99 a month or free for 1 year with new device purchase in order to get the $9.99 Bundle.

Imagine all the content available on Apple TV bundled at a reasonable price.
"He said, 'Well, it's television ... I think we figured out a way to do it, and it's going to be fantastic."

One person cannot watch endlessly anyway.

Funny thing is there is nothing on CBS I want to watch. Maybe if Football ever comes back. But this is a good deal if you already have Showtime as AppleTV has some great content.

More importantly, this looks like it’ll be a good lever for Apple to get content providers to offer full channels. The current state of affairs on Apple TV and stand alone apps, partially integrated content, and proper channels is a mess and very un-Apple. Let’s hope they clean it up—and all the bugs and ads in the Apple TV app.

So in reality, this 'bundle' costs $9.99 + $4.99 or about $15 per month. Considering I see almost nothing on AppleTV+ that I want to watch, Showtime is fairly limited in what they offer and CBS All Access only interests me because of the Star Trek reboot, that is not a good deal for me.

I will be doing HBO Max for that same price and watch the shows I am interested in. Then drop that and try something else.
