Beta 4 was VERY slow on the iPad 3- but b5 really fixed this. Beware that several apps aren't working at all though - Washington Post and EBay are the first two that come to mind. It's definitely better to wait for the GM and all the updated iOS7 app updates, unless you're working on an app yourself.

Cannot Sync after reset
Yes also having this issue; it happens both when connected to iTunes via USB, and syncing over Wifi. Any suggestions?

It's sad but I feel this is part of the old spirit that's left from the glorious Steve jobs era, when you'd expect from apple to get everything right on the spot right away.. But now, with rumors of a GOLDEN iPhone 5S and those awful ugly design issues in iOS 7.. I feel they're really starting to head into dark waters..
Hopefully this will fix the problem of me entering DFU mode every 10 minutes.

No. I don't agree with you. I think you don't have any news that is going to shock me.
You haven't answered my question either.
I wish they changed the photos icon to a dynamic icon based on the users photos. Say four small photos that change like they do in Apple TV screensaver.
If you have flower for photos, well its hard to find for everybody who doesn't primarily associate flowers with photos. It's the single hardest to find functionality already in iOS6 (based on icons).
wow.. so beta 6, absolutely ruined the music app for me (it was already on thin ice).
1. the artist view still having the song list expanded.. terrible.
2. For some reason Apple decided it a good idea to ignore your tag edits and use their own for album titles and artwork in album view. For example, I normally erase "(Deluxe Version)" and edits I made such as adding "- Single or - EP" no longer exists. Idk, why the hell they would do this. half of their tags are incorrect or just messy. Also, this wouldn't be a huge deal.. but some albums with bonus tracks from outside of the store now show up as separate albums!!
Is there any way, to avoid this?? I want my own tags, I've spent hours organizing my music and now its all a mess.

Uh no. But nice try pushing that user idea yet again.
The icons are legit, get over it or watch for a jailbreak and a theme tweak.
And expect most users to not care.

I noticed some tag quirks but mostly just fact that now my video app won't show all is an issue for me. Some fix there. Going to try a full restore tonight and then bug report it if it doesn't come back correctly

Ok I fixed the 'losing connection' issue by stopping iTunes from syncing photos - however now its not syncing music at all, so I cannot copy my music back to my phone. iTunes thinks it completes the sync ok, no warning messages, however it doesn't copy across any music. Any ideas how to fix?
I updated iOS and reset the Library as per instructions.

With such a small update, I expect nothing more than this being a hot fix that we now call beta 6.Still can't add artists/albums to playlists? And we can't play individual albums either!
I actually read all posts in this thread, unfortunately. I don't know either but would like to.
That is great but I don't think that was the intended outcome of this version.
I actually only checked the site to see what was fixed since I got an email from Apple earlier stating there was an update. I was rather surprised too - but since it is so small, I doubt any of the bugs I submitted were fixed. I hope it does in beta 7!

beta 6 made phone unusable
I updated to beta 6 earlier today and all hell let loose on my iphone 5. Initially it seemed to work fine then the screen freezed for a minute or so before the screen caught up all at once. Has done this after putting in my passcode a number of times. Also the phone has refused to wake up from sleep twice. The phone is currently unusable. Something is not right here.

Actually I have always wanted text in the App Store app descriptions to be "copyable". Sometimes I want to copy the app description and mail it or put it in a blog etc (without having to email the original app link). Copying the text would also be useful when translating app descriptions into other languages.Interestingly you can "cut" text out of the description
Why is it that even tiny updates like this take FOREVER to install? What the hell is the iPad doing for fifteen freaking minutes?

Yes, install (or reinstall) the latest iTunes beta. I had read that if you don't do that, you'll have sync problems, so I reinstalled the iTunes beta before I tried to sync. When I did sync, it worked perfectly.
Same thing happened to me. I went into Settings > Videos and toggled the "Show all videos" switch. When I went back to the Video app, it correctly displayed everything.
