Perfectly satisfied with my Series 1 watch, but this is great for new customers.

Might upgrade at Series 5 or wait it out for 6, depends on how long mine holds up.

So I assume $449/549 for 44mm and $699/749 for the Stainless models?

Looks like Edition is gone. Stainless Steel was always the prettiest watch though, and having it in gold is even better.

Because every other major iOS app bailed on the AW.

No official apps from anyone. Its a joke.

Wrong. Many good watch-specific apps.

Two factor authenticator from Duo, best thing ever. Don't need my phone or a phone call to get into secure systems is just one prime example.

Okay, this is good.
The watch is really evolving into a useful medical device.

ECG lead 1 isn't going to replace a full 12-lead ECG, but by golly it's a damn fine start!

I won't be buying one, but I like the direction they're going in...

(I'm a doc)
I am pleased to hear of your interest. I am not a doc. However, I just read an article from 2015 stating that there’s only a 50% correlation between a one lead and 12 lead ECG.

I am very concerned with false positives. My wife had a false positive for pulmonary hypertension. It turned out the test that they used was only reliable if the patient was sick with heart disease to begin with. It made for a month of tension as her mother had pulmonary hypertension and it is a very scary disease.

Thus I am unsure about a watch that may have a high probability of giving a false positive.

Does anyone know what calorie counting app they were showing in the beginning?

As someone who has a family history of heart issues, I'm pretty excited. I wasn't expecting to buy an apple watch soon but that feature alone seems worth it to me. Going to be an expensive week with that and the Xs :)

Ehmm the software will it be also available on previous versions or only at 4 ?

Love the updates, but a steep price. $400 for aluminum 40mm? As usual we will get accustomed to paying that much, but I may wait a generation. Excited about these updates, but I imagine next year buying these at a discount. keeping the 3 cellular a bit longer.

Love it. I’ll wait till it drops around $200 or I can find it used for $200. Mine is just over 1 year old so it should last till then.

Good features for unknown WPW or people > 65. Otherwise this is going to create hypochondriacs by the thousands.
I agree. I don't think I'll be getting this upgrade. I am in good health and I get cardiovascular screenings every year. I also get stress tests. I am very active and do workouts that could make this watch think I've fallen (HiiT training, jumping, etc) The last thing I want is my watch to be calling 911 and frightening my family for no reason.

what's the MSRP of watch 3?

$399 is kind of expensive? Better to get a Watch 3 on sale?

I'm not sure if I'm a fan of the fall detection feature. If I'm doing an active sport like snowboarding and I happen to fall, will I have to tap my watch every time? I don't want my watch calling my emergency contact for every fall if I happen to not get back up within the allotted minute.
Turn off the setting. Besides, it sounds like it will automatically call if you aren't moving, not just if you aren't getting up. I could be mistaken but that was the impression I got.

So if I get the SS version with LTE, can I still use it like a non LTE version? (like my series 0) not intetested in paying extra per month amd also giving up my grandfathered unlimited.
